Really pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Don't let the outside scare you off it's clean inside and the staff is friendly. Most importantly it was almost as good as my favorite teriyaki place in Seattle which is hard to do!EDIT……….: The food has went way down in quality, despite going up in price. I totally understand inflation, but I don’t understand not keeping the same food quality if you’re increasing price to cover costs. I ordered tonight and ate one spicy tuna roll and gagged, it was warm and the spicy mayo tasted like straight mayo, the wasabi even looked sketchy so I checked that out, tasted some, it was like greasy play dough, gritty and had some weird taste and left oil slicks. Not spicy just weird. Color was off too. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi and everything in me said don’t eat anymore even though I’m starving! I was too scared to eat warm raw fish and mayo (we did pickup but we live literally 60sec down the road so it leads me to believe they leave the order on the counter until you pick it up..! They put the raw futomaki (hand rolls, which btw were only about a 1/4 inch bigger than the regular rolls) in with my daughter’s Cali roll. Not cool. The only thing eaten was the Cali roll. Lost a lot of money but I’m not going to complain, they have to know when you cut corners, your food will show it. And people just won’t come back when they can’t trust their sushi. Can’t get my business back.

Not impressed. Called in an order for pick up, ordered a California roll, a tempura roll and sweet/sour chicken. I asked if I could substitute something in the tempura roll for something else, she said “no we don’t do that anymore”. I then asked if they could just tempura the whole roll like it offers ON THEIR MENU, she replied with “no we don’t do that anymore”. Ok I understood things change, I get it. I still continued with my order. When I get there to pick up the food I ask for sweet chili sauce, totally normal thing to have when you offer sushi, she replies with “we don’t do chili sauce anymore” I’m fed up at this point but I still pay for my food, leave, arrive back home to eat it and not only is abnormally large that you have to take multiple bites for one piece, there’s a hair in it….. When I called to try and explain the situation the gal on the phone sounded offended that I was even calling informing her of this. Will not be going back and definitely not recommending.

Very disappointed. If it’s within 30 minutes of closing they will just let the phone ring and not answer. The least they could do is answer and say they’re not taking orders. The food is good but they skimp on the veggies!

Well we were passing through town, checked their review stars and it was 4.4. The reviews didn't really talk about the food so we thought we would give it a try.I wish we would have kept going and found somewhere else.Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, and my friend ordered Sushi. Well the SS chicken had no flavor, the sauce was some yellow looking stuff that came in a cup but it didn't have any flavor either. No vegetables except a little cabbage in the corner of the box. I didn't even finish my food. I ate the rice and threw the rest away.My friend said the sushi was not rolled well, when she picked it up it completely fell apart. She also said it had no flavor. She got soy sauce and poured on it to give it something. She said the seeweed was rubbery also.Only good thing was egg rolls that probably were pre-made not made here. Just my guess.

Okay, the old gas station is funky. But the place was clean, and the food was good. I will definitely go back.

The food was very delicious, the lady at the counter was very pleasant with a nice smile, and my order was ready in a very reasonable time...?I would have never known, had I not had a conversation with another person regarding Japanese food that the restaurant was òpen---During the past 1 1/2 years, I have driven past this restaurant many times---thought it was closed...The SAD presentation of the business building front is the appearance it is. ? shutdown---hopefully, the owner will give the front a REFRESHINGNEW---OPEN FOR BUSINESS LOOK !I say this to be of help, not to criticize,?♂️, Bill
