1 Star (would give 0 if I could)
We walked in as a family of 6 adults and 3 young children, excited to have a nice breakfast together. Before we could even step fully inside, the woman behind the counter snapped at us to “wait to be seated” in the most unwelcoming, grouchy tone. We weren’t trying to seat ourselves…we were literally just walking in the door.
When we politely told her we had 9 people, her response was dripping with sarcasm: “9 thousand?” The way she said it, combined with her facial expressions and body language, was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. It was such a hostile welcome that we didn’t even stay to find out what the food was like…we turned right around and left.
If this is how they treat families walking in the door, I can’t imagine how the rest of the service would be. Absolutely disgraceful. Save yourself the frustration and spend your money somewhere that values their customers.

We turned around and left after getting an attitude from the hostess who clearly didn't want to be there. Horrible customer service

As a local, I can say the food has gradually gone downhill at Cafe Sintra during the last few years. I was there a few days back for a brkfst w a friend (we figured brkfst had always been mol decent and there are few other good brkfst choices closeby). But when we had been there for an hour 15 or so we were literally ASKED TO LEAVE so they could have the table for someone else!!! You can imagine how low that felt. We had ALREADY paid the bill with an undeservedly good tip so we obviously were going to leave very soon anyway --- management rudeness gained them maybe 3-5 minutes. They in no way put us first while we were sitting there, either. While we were eating did not check in frequently on our needs w a joyful smile as is standard in good places. What happened to treating customers as king? Omelets were also somewhat greasy and not fluffy; little cheese. Ingredient quality overall was ok, though. Good bread. The beef was service & attitude.
If you knew me, you'd know I bend over to be fair and rarely complain. But on this one---not going back.

Rude service. They do little to make you feel special. My friend and I were literally asked to leave after an hour fifteen so they could have the table for next paying customer. Food also seems not quite as good as formerly. We are locals, and they used to be very good. Not sure what's up there.
Great breakfast spot. The food was above what you'd expect for breakfast and the price was reasonable especially for what you received. All the staff was super friendly.

I’m not one to take time to leave reviews but after breakfast here yesterday I had to. Shout out to our waitress Cherie who was one of the most friendly people I have ever met in the restaurant industry. She made me the absolute best iced lavender latte. She was super friendly! Definitely make sure you get some of their homemade bread (toast) and jelly. Everyone at our table loved our food. This isn’t my first time here but Cherie made an impression. I’m coming back to Sunriver in 2 weeks and hope to have another great experience eating here 😊

The overall experience was ruined by the horrible service. I would never go there again. I had to ask for water three times and never had enough water. The waitresses seem pissed off and it definitely wasn't about pleasing the customer. Makes the food taste bitter especially when they give themselves a 20% non-optional tip. Boo!

We had a fantastic experience at Sintra Café! Our server, Heather, was absolutely wonderful — attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations for things to do during our stay. I had the Benedict Liguica, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife enjoyed the Belgian waffles, and our son devoured the pancake trio. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend this cozy spot for breakfast or brunch!

Food was fantastic. Great scenery inside. The gentlemen working there served us and was very professional and treated my daughter great. Wait time to order was a little long but other than that, it was great!

Went here for breakfast. It was a bit of a wait, but totally worth it. The young lady looked like she had a lot on her plate but was friendly and never stopped. The food was amazing and we didn't have to wait for our food long. I highly recommend this place for a nice Portuguese breakfast!
