Party of six. Fast service and large portions.
Small but mighty place! Great food, friendly staff. Try the chicken molé.
Very good food!
Everything is great at this place, and the only reason I gave a 4 in atmosphere is simply because the restaurant is a little small (about 11-12 tables. With how good everything is at this place, I hope they have plans to expand eventually.
Large portions, a nice alternative to the pub fare in the village. ( Which is also decent)
Tucked away in the far corner of The Village, in Sunriver, El Caporal provided excellent Mexican food. Their relleno and tamal combination were quite good and the tacos pescado with halibut were perfectly cooked. I had no drinks, well, tea, but they serve beer, wine and drinks. The service was a little slow that night but it looked like the owner/manager was doing everything. Apparently, it's tough to get help on a Tuesday night after fresh snow on the mountain. I can't wait to go back.
We love this place! Top notch, friendly employees. They make you feel like family. Great food.
Used to love coming here as a local until they raised prices dramatically and took away local small discount. Too bad.
Friendly staff and yummy food. Love this place!
Atmosphere and service were great, the food was FANTASTIC!!! Wife had chicken enchiladas that had a wonderful flavor and I had the Carne Asada which was great too!! Pricing is right about on par with any other Mexican restaurant you’d go to. Most definitely recommend this place!!

The absolutely worst mexican food we have ever had. And unbelievably overpriced. My girlfriend ordered 2 fish tacos That were supposed to be 3$ each. The waiter brought her a plate of 3 with rice and beans that she didn't order and it cost her 28$. The fish tacos were just plain tortillas with super dry plain tough overcooked fish. Literally the worst ever especially for that ridiculous price. Not a single person in our party of 4 enjoyed their food.

My chili relleno was wrapped in donut dough. ?
May not have been donut dough but it tastes like donut with a chili in it.

I found this place amazing. Came here off a recommendation from a friend. Had a larger party of 9 people and they were well prepared and ready to serve us. Though coming in closer to there closing time as a big group, they didn't hesitate to take us in.
Wait time wasn't terrible, it was expected and for the food we got it was well worth any wait time. The place was decently full when we got there, and they still managed to be attentive and serve excellent dishes.
My parents always take me around to many Mexican restaurants, but I have to say, the food here hit beyond my expectations. Everything thing had an authentic flavor, the dishes were a lot larger than I thought(worked out fine for a big group), and I definitely will have to come back!
Biggest recommendations, for what I've tried so far, any of there tacos. Along with the shrimp being bacon wrapped and topped with cheese, made my day. My group also said there fajitas for two is definitely worth a try.
Price ranges, depending on what you choose. But way worth it.

Good place but will probably skip it next time. It's a typical American style Mexican restaurant like Azteca. Again, not bad but was hoping for something more unique for a nice resort location.
3 stars for the food - everything was good but pretty meh - loved the salsa with the chips though.
5 stars for the service - nothing bad to stay about the staff. Friendly and helpful! Above and beyond.
4 stars for the atmosphere - typical Azteca style place - clean/comfortable
4 stars for the prices - understandable given the location
If you want familiar American/Mexican food you'll probably enjoy yourself.
