Nice atmosphere/view. Friendly staff. Kid friendly. Food was 50/50, some dishes better (salmon/veg pasta) and others lackluster (beet salad/drinks). It took a very long time between starter and entrees, another table arriving after us were served the same dish before us. Overall— I don’t think the value is present so I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or return.

We had 6:45 reservations for 7 people. Table was set and ready right away, we had 7 different alcoholic drinks that were all amazing and we each got something different off the menu for dinner. Food came out quickly and everyone was bragging about who had the better dish. We were really impressed! I was a little nervous based on previous reviews but we had a great experience start to finish!

Disappointing and Discriminatory Experience
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was upsetting and unacceptable. Upon arrival, we were told no table was available for 45 minutes even though the restaurant was empty, we said we will wait. other parties who arrived after us were seated immediately and they did not have reservations . 45 minutes later we were offered a table, we get walked to a table and its completely outside the restaurant, facing a wall.
It was obvious we were being treated differently because of our race. It was a very upsetting experience to me especially that i had my 3 toddlers with me. i do not recommend anyone with a heart to support such an establishment.

The slowest service I have ever experienced. The staff was completely uninterested in providing a pleasant experience. Wonderful setting but plan on waiting forever for your drinks and food. It’s an exhausting process.

We’ve stayed at Caldera multiple times and eaten at the lake house a few times before. Today we unfortunately had a bad experience. I made a reservation for my family and specifically noted we needed a handicap accessible table. That was not initially accommodated so they had us waiting for another table to be set up. When we finally sat down we ordered our drinks and then it took about 20 minutes just to get those. Then we finally ordered and waited over an hour and a half for our food. It was not very busy so I don’t understand how it took as long as it did. Additionally the waiter was mostly absent and not attentive. Lastly do not order the crab cakes. We were told they were a pretty good size and then they came out and were no larger than two golf balls for $28.
The food was amazing!!! I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, bison burger, salmon chowder and salmon sandwich! Everyone was very attentive and very nice. I did notice that they seemed short staffed as there was a table next to us that was not bussed the whole time we were there (over an hour). Michael was a great server!!! The atmosphere and vibe was really chill and sophisticated without being snobby. Can’t wait to go back!!
