Been eating these burgers for decades. Don't see why I should stop

Great food! On the high end of pricing & only open for pick up.

Rude service from owner after a 20 minute wait to order. Will never go back.

My first experience at Cedar Shack in Sweethome, Oregon, was overall very unimpressive. Communication lacked intensely, the woman who was providing service, was extremely disrespectful and rude. I simply was trying to order for the very first time I’ve ever decided to come to this place, and it was made very obvious that she was extremely annoyed. The highway is so close to the front window, and I was having an extremely hard time hearing her. This seemed to really piss her off. When she did answer the questions I had, it was in an immensely aggravated tone which I did not deserve because I simply was curious about the food I was ordering. Paying $12, almost $13 for one medium burger and a small milkshake, was not worth it at all. I’m very disappointed in the customer service of this place. The only good thing I have to say is the chocolate milkshake isn’t that bad.

The wait was a bit long. The food was good. I want to try again when they open their dining again.

Do not waste your money here. All of the food tastes sour. The fries taste like the potatoes haven't been washed. 0/10 I will not be back.

Hands down the best burgers in the county, if you are passing through you need to stop here. I promise you, you will not be disappointed

Clearly a local favorite. Lots of folks picking up their call-ins. Outside seating only. No menu in the window, and had to ask to see one once we got to the front of the line. Seemed a little understaffed but our food came in a reasonable timeframe. When I swing back through to snap a photo of the menu for my next visit, I was given permission by one staff member then curtly informed by another that I wasn’t supposed to be inside and told to “just take one,” which I wouldn’t have been able to do without coming inside…Anyway, still worth it. Very reasonable prices and great little local business. Recommend looking at menu online and calling order in advance to minimize contact with well-meaning but clearly stressed staff. If you see a little black wiener dog wandering around, don’t worry; it’s the owners’.

Once apon a time this was a 5 star burger joint with the best burgers around! We use to go here often after camping trips, hunting trips and just about any excuse we could come up with. That being said I wish it could still be this way. Now the staff seems unimpressed with even having paying customers. The owner, who made my last meal there couldnteven crack us a smile and the food was unimpressive and disheartening. The sign says open but nobodys home.

6 burgers and 2 large fries for $20! What a deal, and delicious too!

Not a lot of dining options in this area, but Cedar Shack is not a bad place to stop for a quick bite. Walk up window to order and pick up food and enjoy on the road or sitting on one of the few picnic tables outside. Perfect for a Covid-safe family picnic style lunch. Service was fast and friendly so the overall experience was very good. We had burgers and chicken sandwiches and french fries. I thought my cheeseburger was pretty good, got the large because I wanted lettuce and tomatoes and the special sauce and it was just the right size for me. Most of us asked for sandwiches without onions and the order was correct and we knew they were prepared fresh. The chicken is obviously fried from the freezer and a bit dried out and the fries were your every day not bad french fries. If I was passing by again and hungry for a quick bite, I would not hesitate to stop for a burger but not really worth going out of the way. Simple and easy so worth the convenience.

Cedar Shack has been a family favorite for many years. A little quirky, but fantastic burgers. Covid restrictions are lifted, but they are still doing outdoor seating only with orders being placed through their front window. Or you can call in. Cash only. Service was quick but speak up if you are at the window as highway 20 traffic can make it hard to hear you. I ordered my food at the window, then sat at their picnic bench under their apple trees to wait and later to eat. A very nice little set up for lunch on a hot day.Fries are tasty but could have sat a bit longer in the fryer. Kind of in between Shoestring and Steak fries, with a little bit of potato skin still on them. DeliciousHad the spotted owl burger, Cedar Shack's famous giant burger named after the infamous impediment to Oregon's timber Industry. Great stuff. Their special sauce is fantastic, hitting right blend of mayo and ketchup. They load it up with decent veggies. They do use sweet pickles, which aren't my favorite, but they work well with the other veggies for a sweet and fresh burger. Their meat is cooked expertly on a flatop with just a hint of seasoning from the grill, so you'll be able to enjoy it whether you prefer built up flavor from the grill or the "just the meat" taste of a grill scrubbed down often.Definitely a stop worth making on your lake day or as you pass through Sweet Home on Highway 20. It's a quintessential small town burger joint that can hold its own with any in Oregon. #theGreatOregonBurgerBucketList #GOBBL
