I am so tired of seeing "pets" in the store. today a lady had her dog in the main part of the store cart. She was in the meat department. handing the dog around for people to pet. it was also barking. it was not a service animal. i asked. she just wanted to have it with her. i have pets. i do not want to take home any of the viruses that are going around the pet population. i do not want dog hair on my food. or fleas. the store manager says they can't ask about the animal. Yes they can!! just ask the state of oregon health department. i filed a complaint with them too.

As a regular customer for over 30 years, having been a customer service rep in the past, it has always been common knowledge even on your worst days, to be cheerful to your customers. This morning, I had to tell a checker to stop being bitchy, and when I left, told her she needed to change her attitude. We pay more than enough hard-earned money to buy groceries that at times, haven't been up to par in freshness or having to substitute something where there is a bare shelf to not be told, in so many words, we're stupid. She deserved what I told her, and this Safeway has lost a customer.

just today I went in Safeway in Sweet Home and a checker named Leana, she sits in a chair while she checks which is fine with me only pointing it out for reference. she was so rude to me today. had an issue with my safeway app which isn't uncommon. she rings it up. it's supposed to be less than $2. I say those are supposed to be 97 cents each. she says we'll, you need to clip it in your app. I said I had, she stares at me for a couple seconds and then days, it won't work if you have already clipped and bought it. I said, i haven't bought it yet. she then stares at me again for a few seconds with an irritated look. then says, I'll fix it this one time but you have to clip it next time. I just stop replying by this time. she then hands me the receipt and won't even look at me anymore. she was being completely rude and I don't understand why because I have been in her line before lots of times and she was decent enough. I don't know if she was having a bad day but the whole interaction made me super uncomfortable and made me feel completely unwelcome. I don't think I will get back in her line anytime soon.

It could be cleaner. This small of a store should always look and smell amazing. Very rarely does it ever. Who wants to buy food from a place that the can return area next to the front door reeks of urine or mold? The floors are always gross, the restrooms are in dire need of an update. The produce is decently fresh if they have what you are looking for. Keeping things in stock seems to be a problem for this location storewide. Without a meat counter this location also is very limiting. And really? Only 1 cashier to checkout at 6pm? This isn't an exceptional store to expect people to do self check out. You don't offer anything amazing or discounted to that ask of your customers. Do better Safeway you are making Walmart look appealing.

I won’t go out if my way to leave a bad review somewhere unless I’m really tired of bad service. I am completely done with Safeway. The amount of times I’ve dealt with rude employees and even managers is ridiculous. It’s so sad that there are so many people there that have a hard time being decent.
You better keep an eye on your receipts as well. I’ve been overcharged so often. Once by $16 in one transaction. It makes me wonder how much money of mine they have gotten before without me noticing.
Today my husband was told, “If you could read, there’s a sign right here.”
Just rude.

Holy shit. The deli. Shittiest Safeway Deli I've ever been to in my entire adult life. This points to a problem with store management asking people to do way for then they're qualified to do. I feel sorry for anyone who works here to support their family. I'll never spent a dime here ever again.
