Great Mexican bakery with savory bread stuffed with jalapeño, pan dulce, donuts, a variety of butter cookies, molasses cookies and sweet empanadas. You grab a tray and tongs and select your own treats from the cabinet. The store is clean, service is friendly and there is parking right out front. Right off exit 84 from I-84, I stop here first before running my errands in The Dalles.

We ordered a birthday cake a week in advance with a female employee. The color choice and design was not fulfilled. Also, the day the cake was due, they called us that morning to inform us the fruit we selected was not found to bake the cake. We accepted a substitution fruit because there is no more time to find a new cake at another bakery.I asked the male employee for a discount on the cake for the mistakes and inconvenience. He did not offer to remedy my experience, and stated it was a great price for the cake. Finally, a disappointing note... The text on the cake was very sloppy and looked like a child wrote the text.

Stopped by on a long drive. I'm Mexican & from California, we have a ton of bakeries but the bread I bought here was definitely one of the best I've had! They limit capacity to 1 person at a time and face masks are required. Everything inside was clean. I'll definitely be back next time I drive through!
