“This is the best restaurant in The Dalles. The Lamb Vindaloo and Tikka Masala are devine. Perfectly spiced. They have lots of vegetarian and GF options too. Plus it's run by a courteous and friendly family. It's great for a special night out.”

“This is in my humble opinion, the best Indian food along the Columbia river. Even up to the headwaters. It's got a very rangy menu and I would've given it five stars but they just raised the price out of my regular customer income bracket. But you do get what you pay for.”

“Defiantely best in TD! My all time favorite is the tacos, salsa Verde and Super burrito. I've never had a better burrito before ANYWHERE. the service is always so friendly and love that it's a family together. Always a great stop,even has outdoor seating.”

“My wife had the salmon hash breakfast while I had the corned beef hash breakfast. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The raspberry jam for our toast and croissant was some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to come back and try the French toast and Crepes.”

“The family that owns & runs this cool food cart couldn't be nicer. We stopped in on a whim for some BBQ, but were pleasantly surprised to find a Veteran's Day Parade about to start right in front of their spot. They were the only cart open and I believe we were their first customers of the day. We had the brisket chili with cornbread, a cowboy parfait, and some mimosas. The parade was happening, the proprietors were having a good time, and we felt like family watching everything with them. They were chatty and funny and an all around great family. The food is really great but the service is what sets this place apart. We can't wait to get back there and try something else! Thank you for an amazing experience!”

“Small, intimate family run winery with wonderful and affordable wines. Julie was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly but never intrusive. Located right on 2nd Street in The Dalles, it's a great place to stop if you're wandering the various tasting rooms and bare pubs in the area. Since it was my first time here, I did the flight. The first wine, the Locomotive, had me with the very light taste with hints of honey and papaya. Not one to typically drink whites, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. On a warm or even hot day, this would be perfect. As I made my way through the tasting, I found that I was enjoying several of their wines. The High Tension, their club favorite, was a full bodied blend of Syrah, Merlot and Barbera. A perfect everyday drinking wine And good for parties where you need a wine that pleases many palettes.The other standout for me was the Barbera. Very smooth, full body and slightly jammy. Since I'm in a Barbera club at Cascade Cliffs, I left with the Locomotive. I'm looking forward to a warm spring day to sit in my deck and enjoy with friends. The tasting room inside is small and simple. A picnic tables and seats out in the paved area out front, nice on a sunny day. I'll definitely be back.”

“I had driven by and thought it was just a local dive. Someone told me it was a good restaurant. Opened the door and was pleasantly surprised and suddenly felt underdressed. Very elegant decor and music. Servers were great and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.”
