“Original 2 star review:Good food. Poor service. Staff frequently feels snooty.Lost half of our Christmas order. Just the latest of a half dozen such failures over the last five years. Would like to be able to support a local bakery but I think we will just cross the river to Pine Street.Update:The owner called and let us know that she had found the rest of our order AND she offered to bring it to our house so we could have it for Christmas dinner today. We were definitely impressed by her level of care. Wish the employees cared half as much as she did. Updating to a 4. Hope her staff steps up their game.”

“Great service, fantastic pub food and beer. Most of the time I am disappointed in pubs and pub fare. In the United States it's a crime to not have good fries and burgers. This pub get's it all right.I also enjoyed the buffalo wings, and kudos to the chef for having celery with them instead of fashionable sliced cucumbers. Some traditions deserve to be maintained.My compliments to the professional, hard-working and kind staff. You really made our experience one to remember.”

“Pixan has above and beyond flavor, kind service and a fun atmosphere. Best part of the meal was the flavorful horchata, and the Quesatacos which were a perfect balance of spice, crunch, and flavor in each bite. As a vegetarian I enjoyed the papa asada and hongos thoroughly!Vegetarian options: Hongos (mushroom and onion) and papa asada (potatoes and onion) filling for their tacos. Quesadillas, guacamole, loaded fries, nachos. and many other dishes can be adjusted to fit vegetarians while keeping the flavor!”

“An excellent, all-vegan cafe. Easy on/off I-84. Really nice interior. Fast, friendly service. Tasty, fresh sandwiches and house-made chips. Gluten free bread options too. “You can't go wrong with a couple beer battered fish tacos, they give you big pieces of fish and they are delicious. Was feeling like trying something different so I asked about the Morena, was described as a sort of mexican pizza and that's definitely a good description. Let me tell you the Morena is amazing! “This place is great! Thai and Japanese fusion dishes with well developed flavor, and springy, chewy noodles. I love that if you order your food "hot," it's actually spicy. It's super nice to have a good option open after 8pm, too.We've tried several of their dishes over the years. The duck ramen, khao soy, and mazemen are our favorites. The chili wontons and karaage are consistently good. The takoyaki can be a little light on octopus but heavy on toppings and prepared well.Vegetarian options: Several veggie or vegan optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten-free rice noodle options available for most dishesParking: Small parking lot and street parking. “You usually don’t go into a brewery in an emotional crying state. We were on vacation Saturday and shortly before entering Pfriem I got some hard news to take in about my family. It was a lot to process and I decided I just needed to push on with the evening and try to process it later. Zach picked up on my emotions immediately, hard not to, but he treated my husband and I with so much empathy, and love honestly. He assisted us that evening, and really treated us with compassion. It was so touching to be cared for in the situation I was in and the place I was. Obviously incredible beer, but Zach is who I would hope would be our server in good times and bad. Thank you for your support during this difficult time. ❤️”

“I always try to stop by Love and Hominy when I'm in Hood River. The tacos are really fun fusion flavors with great veg options. We had some fantastic NA drinks this time, even served with a frosty boot mug! I didn't get a picture of the tacos because we inhaled them. Yum!The staff here is always so nice! “We stopped at this vineyard on a tour from Portland to mt.hood and it was easily one of our favorites! Their lunch options were so good… charcuterie boards and different sandwiches. They had great views and alpacas in the field in the back!They accomadated our larger tour group so we could all sit together and chat which o thought was a very nice touch rather than us spreading out in our smaller groups.”

We were really blown away by the level of service, the attention to detail, and the clear passion they have for fine dining and food artistry. It's definitely a special occasion kind of place, but they REALLY did make the occasion feel special - complete with customized printed menus, delicious and creative food, and Michelin star-level service and presentation. “I've been to the Society Hotel twice now and really enjoy it. The room is decent (shared bathrooms) and the spa are is fantastic. I've been back just for the spa/sauna/ cold plunge! Most of the staff are very friendly and they make great coffee and snacks. Bring ear plugs because the train is loud and frequent.”
