“Quaint cafe and hotel in an old school. The cafe has great vegetarian options and tea as well as coffee. Be aware there are a lot of steps from the parking lot to the cafe.”

“I've started going here fairly regularly and I've always had exceptional service and the drinks I get are always fantastic. The owner always crafts me the most delicious drinks and has an incredible smile that always brightens my day, regardless of how it was going beforehand. Their message is also great to see and fits their name very well.”

“The empenadas and baked goods were fresh and delicious. Without a doubt some of the best pie pastry I've ever had. Loved all the free samples of preserves and pickles.”
“What a gem of a place! The views are absolutely spectacular with a clear view of Mount Hood, and all of Hood River with the cutest outdoor seats to enjoy it all. Great wine, incredible customer service. Every employee there was so kind and enjoyable to talk to. Look forward to coming back this fall.”

“Hood River is in general very overpriced. This is my spot in town when I’m there. Quality for a normal cost. Note, there’s nowhere inside to eat. I’ve only had the Veggie Burrito- but that’s good.”
“Excellent food, amazing beer, fantastic service. The beer is so good, I almost always forget about the food. Might have been because I just came off the trail, but my food absolutely crushed. If you're visiting Hood River, make time to head down to the river park and check out those businesses.”

“Today, we drove down taco alley of Hood River to try 4 different taco trucks. We were blown away by the tacos here. The fish taco, birria taco, and quesabirria were really phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Parking: Plenty of parking everywhere”

“Super cute little place with good beer and nice folks. Might be somebody’s basement? But the vibes are solid and the back garden is really nice. Definitely worth a stop”

“Pine Street Bakery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 9/15/22, I stopped in Hood River, Oregon to check out Pine Street Bakery. Owner Megan Davis’s mother started Grand Central Bakery in Seattle, Washington in 1972. Today, there are 11 locations between Portland and Seattle. If you ever have an opportunity to visit a Grand Central Bakery/Café, I recommend it. I wanted to try one of their famous Cardamom Knots, which are Challah dough slathered in Vanilla Butter, covered in Cardamom Sugar and tied in a Knot. Unfortunately, they were out. I got a Carrot Cake cupcake ($5), which is one of their best sellers, as well as a Maddie Cake cupcake ($5). The Maddie Cake cupcake is a seasonal cupcake that changes with some regularity. The current Maddie Cake cupcake is Peaches & Cream. It is Vanilla cake filled with Peach compote made from local peaches, topped with a Vanilla Swiss Meringue Butter cream frosting. I enjoyed both cupcakes but my favorite of the two was the Maddie Cupcake because it was so unique. There was a generous amount of peach compote in the center of the cupcake, as well as on top. The compote had great flavor. Both cupcakes were fairly dense but moist. In addition to the baked goods and breads, Pine Street Bakery has Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee menus, as well as specials. They also sell a lot of other products and fresh flowers. Highly Recommended!!!”

“I completely love their fish tacos!!!! But I stopped by yesterday after many months of never eating out to find no one had PPE masks on! Not the prep, not one customer. yes, the customers are outside, but the walk right up to the window & are face to face with prep. People walking very near me, staring- I was being stared at with my mask. I felt like I was in some sort of antimaskers demographic judging me, very uncomfortable. I just have to speak up. My family has been sooo careful trying to ride through this thing; I just think it's sad that one tiny thing could ruin our lives. Something as simple as craving Manny's tacos!!! It's easy, mask up folks.”

“I was charged more than I was told when I gave the barista my card. I tipped cash so I don’t believe the additional charge came from a tip.
My beverage was excellent and the service was fine other than that.
I was very impressed with the baristas walking out to the cars waiting in line to take their orders and ring them up right there in order to speed the process along.
Edit 8/23/24:
The Dutch Bros customer service team reimbursed me in the form of two free drinks and said they’d pass on my feedback to their management team. I’ll amend my review to four stars!”

“Great pizza. I had the lunch special 2 pizza slices, a drink and a cookie. The cookie was a bit stale, and the service was average.
I asked the server what was on the pizzas and sat listening to a very, very slow drawn out list. Labels would be great!
I finally took a chance and just pointed at two.”
“It was an excellent vineyard for a glass of wine ?after a day of windsurfing. The host was really lovely, and the views and atmosphere were fantastic. It was a little off the beaten path, but I really enjoyed the late afternoon. Would recommend a visit if you get the opportunity.”
“The perfect coffee shop! The barista is super friendly and helpful! The hand-crafted drinks taste like they are made with care, not just churned out of an assembly line. The breakfast burritos are fresh and delicious. The outdoor seating is lovely, but if you are in a hurry, it's easy to get in and out fast. Prices are very reasonable. Great place!”

“Best food in Hood River! And right up there with the top restaurants in Portland, as well. Tasty seafood options, steaks, pasta. Good variety, focusing on quality over quantity. Beautiful presentation. Desserts are top notch and in appropriate proportions. Having been here many times over the years, we drove an hour from Portland just for dinner on a beautiful day. The views from the deck are wonderful!”
“I have been waiting for Indian food to come to Hood River for a long time, and Kirpa’s does not disappoint! I ordered take out online which was easy and convenient. The food was ready quickly, and friendly staff helped me with a question about my order. Most importantly to me, the food was absolutely amazing! I will be back soon to dine in and try more dishes.”

“Wanted to eat local and not in a restaurant, looked on Google and read the reviews for this food truck. Quality ingredients, made with love and so, so delicious. Yay!
Vegetarian options: I ordered veggie burrito. Large flour tortilla, filled to the brim and direct off grill stayed temperature hot for ride to nearby hotel. I asked for minimal jalapenos. So flavorful and filling. Came with sample size salsa.”
“This spot is the roastery of Hood River Coffee Roasters, as well as a place where peripheral products and coffee beans are sold. Honma Coffee Roastery has been here for a long time and is considered a time-honored brand. Its sales points are also in the Gorge area, and it has only recently begun to sell to the Portland area. There are so many choices, especially the single-origin beans section. It’s a pity that there is no coffee bar where you can drink and watch beans while choosing what to buy, so I bought their signature Columbia Ribver Blend beans first. The description says medium to dark roast, but it tastes like a full dark roast. When the beans were purchased, they were still very oily on the surface and had a fishy smell. However, the fishy smell did not come out after brewing. It's a dark roasted coffee that I like. Although it is quite bitter, it does not have any sharp and prominent flavor. If you buy it here, not only will the beans be very fresh, but the price of 16oz is the same as the price of 12oz outside. It can be regarded as a discount on the on-site price.”
