“"The best ever." My boyfriend and I loved visiting this tavern so much that we went back repeatedly throughout our stay in town. The employees are very fun, pleasant, and welcoming and the food and drinks are awesome. The atmosphere was great and they have trivia, karaoke, games, popular sports on TVs, and it is obviously a popular local hangout. We highly recommend this tavern and will make it a tradition to return throughout the year when we are visiting in the area.”
“Been coming to Stevenson for over a decade and this was such a nice surprise to see open! They sometimes have amazing cinnamon rolls, or ice cream, sandwiches, quesadillas - all much better than I was expecting. Friendly staff, and the coffee is great too.Parking: Drive-thru only but plenty of nearby parking all over Stevenson.Kid-friendliness: Ice cream, cookies, and they gave our kid stickers :-)”
“Nothing beats a huge plate of Mexican food after a day of hiking! The taco salad and veggie burrito were delicious! Staff were friendly and food came out quick. They have a few picnic tables under a shade canopy if you want to sit and eat. We will definitely be stopping here again!”
“Great little coffee shop in Stevenson WA. Tucked a bit into a gas station so don't miss it! Delicious European bakery items, great coffee, friendly service, comfortable seating, cute and quirky decor.”
“The service was nice and I enjoyed the tacos special and chili. My group also split a plate of poke nachos and they were delicious. We enjoyed them so much we forgot to take a photo! :”
“My boyfriend and I got the green enchiladas and fish tacos after a big hike and they hit the spot. The food was awesome and the hot sauce was truly out of this world, it was spicy but soooo good.”
“Such good food! They had lots of gluten free options and everything we got was incredible. Highly recommend the spicy Hawaiian pizza!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options”
“Hands down the best meal I've had in years! The special was a pork tamale. The sauce was different than any sauce I've had before and I asked my server about it. He proudly told me it is a house made sauce made daily from fresh tomatillos. It was so good I almost ordered a second meal to take home with me.One of our party ordered a huge pile of nachos that was intended as an appetizer. It was huge and piled high with all the lovely toppings. The guacamole looked and tasted fresh as well.We will be back!!Parking: Plenty of parking in the lot, and more parking available on the street.Kid-friendliness: There's a bar in the establishment, but if you walk to the left upon entering there are many family friendly booths as well. Our party included children and was well received.”
“Great baristas and well-made coffee and baked goods. Open 7 days, really appreciated in this part of the Columbia Gorge where there are few coffee options. My favorite stop on the Washington side. No indoor seating, but a small covered outdoor area for two.”
“My wife wanted something cold for dinner. The Subway restaurant in Hood River was closed because of the hot weather. I drove across the Hood River toll bridge, paid Washington sales tax, and drove back across the Bridge of the Gods toll bridge to Cascade Locks. The staff and service were awesome. They had our sandwiches ready and waiting when I arrived. Thank-you for being there for your out of state neighbors!”
“Great spot right on the river! Enjoyed sitting on their covered patio even in a rainy day. Good local beer selection and delicious salmon chowder! We got the charcuterie platter and it came with 5 pounds of cheese! ”
“The food here is amazing. The lemon pepper wings and smoked nachos are delicious. But you can't go wrong with the burgers and pizza either...some of the best in town! A little pricey, but there are definitely ways to eat here without spending an arm and a leg because of the variety. Did I mention the view of the Columbia River?! Breathtaking.”
“The food is delicious and varied....creative. The glazed Coppa was killer.Kids with narrow pallets might need an assist from the bar menu, though. In the summer...the view....service was Pro but friendly.”
“Excellent burgers, some of the best fries I've ever had as well as their soft serve ice cream will definitely keep me coming back to enjoy again. The drive up window attendant was a little rude but other than that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend stopping here if you're hungry and passing through... cheers to you guys!”
“The Seahawk pizza was the best ever. The spinach was in the bottom instead of the top. Making it taste good. This pizza was ver flavorful. Professional service; nice small town country atmosphere.”
“We are blessed with a lot of great Mexican places here in the Gorge. I have been to several of them. This one is the best. This one is worth going out of your way for. Everything I've had has been so delicious. So perfectly cooked. So flavorful. And it's the small things, like the way the ingredients are so perfectly chopped in the perfect size and everything is distributed so perfectly so that every bite is as good as the last. And the fact that they put little chunks of mango in the shrimp burritos. Its things like this that put them over the top. And the churros, my God, the churros. And of course the people running the place are just so nice. I would eat here every day if I could. Plus they have a really nice little covered seating area with nice picnic tables and nice lighting, so you can come an eat here when it's raining. Again, this place is worth going out of your way for.”
“Great outdoor space (even on a rainy day), delicious sandwiches, a smaller selection of beers on tap but a good variety in styles. Playlist is great too, as others have mentioned :)”
“Only place I will ever buy meat from again. Wonderful people. I would highly recommend trying the sausage and cheese stuffed portobello mushrooms. 5 stars”
“I stayed at the Hot Springs for my birthday and came in to use the coupons given when I checked in, and I am so glad I did!! The food was amazing (shout out to the cook from Minneapolis, you know your stuff!), and the bartender Rachel was kind, made very tasty drinks, and even helped me narrow down what route to take for my birthday hike. I couldn't have asked for more, and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!!!”
“This is your typical dive bar that has good food, stiff drinks. A local hangout. Try the fried chicken or the Bungalow Burger. Best and friendly bartender, opens only after 4:00pm.”
“I have been seeing their lunch specials on Facebook for quite some time. Today when I went to get the mail, I decided I’d sneak across the river and pick up lunch for everyone. Today’s special is Tina’s favorite sandwich. Tony and I are having the full Beacon Burger with onion rings.”
“On a wet cold dreary day, we popped in for food. The soup was absolutely delicious (though could've been a bit hotter) but the beauty of this space is the community within. We were outsiders, looking in and enjoyed the interaction of children and adults. It was like sitting in someone's living room and we didn't want to leave.:-)”
“It is a great place for traditional American food. Won't break the bank. Great views if you can get a window seat.Kid-friendliness: Great place to take the kids to eat. They have a souvenir store attached. My family has never made it out without buying something. They make really good fudge.Wheelchair accessibility: No problems. Not sure if the have automatic doors so that maybe difficult.”
“We were looking for a nice quiet place for coffee and found it here. Service was good and the muffins were most excellent. Sat at the window and watched the weather- very pleasant”
“Where do I start? The beer was delicious! I had the Oneonta Falls Hazy and the Hole-In-The-Wall-Falls Juicy IPA. Both were excellent! Food-wise, there were two burgers and the fried chicken sandwich ordered at our table. I had the White Cheddar Bacon Jam burger and let me tell you, AMAZING! The fries were excellent as well. One last comment on the food. The lemonade is hand pressed and oh my was it delightful. Our server was super kind. I'm an hour away from here and can't wait to go back.”
“We traveled through Oregon to Idaho from California. The drinks were amazing. I had a yummy cider and my guy a brew. The burgers however, were terrible. They did not taste like burger. We asked if they were premade or fresh. They were definitely not worth $22. The salmon I ordered was very dry. When we kindly told the waitress she had a bit of an attitude. We got a refund on the two meals. Wish I would’ve asked for a refund on my son’s burger because it was the same. The vibe was just weird that night. Maybe it’ll be better if we go back. We probably won’t eat the food. Definitely for a drink. Very beautiful view.”
“First time here and had a good experience we shared their pizza an both really enjoyed our food & drinks. The atmosphere was great and staff was nice will be back again next we're going through the ”
“Truly a hidden gem, the food was very good and the service was friendly! We ordered the salmon and ribeye and both were cooked perfectly, and the mixed veggies were delicious.”
