Soča Wine Shop & Bar Reviews
This place has been a must stop or even the reason why I retreat from Portland for a weekend getaway. The wine selection and food are perfectly curated, and the staff are always sweet and kind and attentive regardless of how busy it is.
Kudos to the owners for creating such an amazing space. One of my top five wine bars of all time.
Oh...and Riley...!

Wow. Didn't expect to find this absolute gem 💎 while waiting for reservation across street. After 45 mins of delight we cancelled other reservation and ordered everything on the menu at Soca. Do not understand how they do so much out of that little kitchen. Bless their hearts! 🥂
Consistently exceptional

Soča Wine Shop & Bar is a charming spot situated in a quiet area, offering a wide selection of wines from around the world and tasty bites. The friendly service and unique wines, which can be enjoyed by the glass or bottle, make it a popular destination for wine lovers. The small menu features delicious options, perfect for a quick snack or a relaxing drink, and is well-loved by both visitors and locals. The decor is calming and minimalistic, creating a cozy atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a glass or bottle of wine on the outdoor patio, at the bar, or at one of the tables inside. The staff often recommends wines based on preferences, such as the Zidarich (Terah 2019) from northern Italy, made from an indigenous red grape variety. Pairing the wine with a baguette topped with cheese and prosciutto makes for a perfect late summer afternoon. The shop also offers an interesting selection of wines to purchase, especially Italian and French wines, alongside local options. The space is small and cozy but very welcoming, with the option to do a half glass of wine to try more options. The venue is accessible for those with mobility issues, with easy entry through the back door and accessible facilities. Overall, it is a little gem that combines a beautiful wine selection with delicious dishes in a friendly, unpretentious setting. Visitors often praise the knowledgeable and friendly staff, who are great at multitasking and making guests feel at home. The ambiance, whether enjoyed on the patio or inside, creates a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxing with thoughtfully prepared bites and special wines.
