“1961. The Farthing coin is discontinued, Barbie meets Ken, To Kill a Mockingbird is published… All overshadowed by the single greatest moment in hamburger history: The first Burgerville opens its doors. 40 franchises later, the restaurant is a watering hole, where, cheek by jowl, digital nomads & dirt-handed lumber-luggers jostle at the feed bucket like so many hungry hippos. But Burgerville is more than a restaurant.
For me, it was a wet nurse. An au pair in the absence of patty-peddling parents. Nursed on the teat of a strawberry shake, pampered in the creases of a Kaiser bun, I was Burgerville-nourished since nascency.
Back in the Beaver State, I recently made the prosaic trek from the Emerald City to the Silicon Forest. Though stippled with glimpses of rusticated bucolism, the drive lacks the zest that BV reliably delivers. Past the Randy Pape beltline, somewhere between Lebanon & “the grass seed capital of the world,” I sensed it was time to chow. I Pulled up to the city of crows & Four minutes later I was tailgating with my teeth in a No. 6 & my hand around a raspberry shake. Mmm! Hearthy undertones with plucky punches of piquancy. At the behest of the BV signature sauce, a stalwart patty & its troop of fresh vegetation masqueraded through the dark chambers of my mouth. A wonder all but forgotten as the first sip of raspberry refreshment filled me with summer fruit fields & a longing for more. The meal clung to my tongue & danced in my head the whole way back to Little Beirut.
On the whole, I’d liken it to this Honda Odyssey: a reliable beast built to make memories; take it out of the picture & the Western family collapses. Bonus points for a tidy bathroom. My best to you & yours.“

“Neat little bar for a small town, not really much open late on weekends. Saturday is a lot more poppin than fri nights. The food is good, the drinks are inexpensive. The server was always courteous both times we stopped by. Would stop by again if work brings me back this way again 👌🏽🎉“

“My server was amazing. Her name was Jessica. She helped me with all of the questions I had about what I wanted to order. And reminded me about my reward points that gave me $10 off! Definitely a great experience. I come here often and I always have good experiences with the servers. Doing an amazing.“

“Honestly it has been years since I have sat inside a McDonalds. It was a rare visit when I was a kid. I dont take my kids to fast food all at often because of the quality of food. But this visit was super nice. The inside playground was well maintained. Super clean. Separate from the main sit down so the kids could be loud (mine kept it minimal but it was nice to not interrupt those without kids). The service was 100% on point. They walked the food out to us. They checked on us. Customer service was exceptional. The food was fresh as well which is always soo nice. Friendly staff. Smiles everywhere. A reminder to support our local businesses who support our youth ❤ Thank you for the pleasant visit.“
