“The family that owns & runs this cool food cart couldn't be nicer. We stopped in on a whim for some BBQ, but were pleasantly surprised to find a Veteran's Day Parade about to start right in front of their spot. They were the only cart open and I believe we were their first customers of the day. We had the brisket chili with cornbread, a cowboy parfait, and some mimosas. The parade was happening, the proprietors were having a good time, and we felt like family watching everything with them. They were chatty and funny and an all around great family. The food is really great but the service is what sets this place apart. We can't wait to get back there and try something else! Thank you for an amazing experience!“
“It's not pretty inside but the food is hot and yummy. I have eaten breakfast lunch and dinner there and never walked out unhappy because of the food. And I've only had one Bad Waitress experience there. They are pretty darn good??.?“
“Always the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Comes with cole slaw, or fries or soup? $13.00Hubs had Rueben/Fries, real corn beef slices. Excellent service with a smile , waitress thanked us for coming in. AC works great 91' outside today. June 25“
“This is a good food option in The Dalles. It's located in the Shilo hotel on the river. The view is nice. The menu is Cajun American and the gumbo and jambalaya are legit.Service gets 4 stars because it can take a long time to get your food; however the service staff works hard while you wait for the food. So, it seems the hold up is in the kitchen, not with service. Staff is friendly. It is also a little pricy; $20 for 6 beignets seemed too much, but I don't know how much effort goes into making themOverall, it's a good spot, especially on a beautiful day.“
“Excellent mac salad, good kalua pig. The sweet garlic teriyaki was very good. The young man at the register was very nice and asked if we need forks or extra sauce. Will definitely come back the next time we are in The DallesParking: Street parking, no nearby lot that we saw.“
