Amazing food! The clam chowder is a must-have! There were so many delicious options we had a tough time deciding. Eggplant parmesan and prime rib won with no regrets. I can't wait to visit again!

Sorry guys. The food was so bad. Nothing was homemade. Pasta was definitely packaged and the sauce wasn’t fresh at all. The Bolognese was also made with incorrect pasta noodles and had no flavor. Pretty disappointed. Only reason I’m giving more stars is bc your staff was amazing. Extremely polite and did a great job.

When you walk in you expect to hear Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. it has a traditional steak house and speak easy vibe. The food is awesome and the staff is so friendly. It is a classic in the Dalles Classic with a new owner who I think is doing a great job.

We had dinner at the Hi-way House on Saturday and it was amazing! Great service, wonderful food, great drinks and I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. My hubby had a bacon cheeseburger and I had chicken fettuccini (delicious!) and crème Brule and carrot cake for dessert, all highly recommended...we can't wait to return!

The food, staff, atmosphere for fine dining with casual dress environment was fantastic. The prime rib was perfect. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. We will certainly be back.
This is a bit of an old style supper club. The outside is a bit offputting as it is just off the road and a gray cinder block building but the review got me inside and was a pleasantly surprised. I think this must a favoriate with locals and I saw several groups of people who seemed to be quite familiar with the staff. The food is very traditional which is just want I wanted. The perfect large prime rib, loaded backed potato, clam chowder, homemade crumb bread. Every thing was prepared perfectly. Service was attentive and fast. I had a lovely meal and I felt for the food and quality it was actually quite reasonable. I can't wait to go back. to try the many Italian items on the menu.
Parking: It's a bit of a tight turnoff the mail road but I had no problem finding a spot. I was there late so in prime time it might be harder.

Don't be put off by the old concrete exterior, this restaurant has some of the finest dishes to be found in the NW. Dropped in on a recommendation from an Airbnb host and was floored by the food. If you are here in the summer take advantage of their locally sourced produce. We loved the Caprice salad with heirloom tomatoes and fresh peaches. Dessert was fantastic as well.
