Pinch me! Their coffee is perfection, not burnt but full bodied with depth and subtle notes of nuts, caramel and fruit! I’m just getting started—I ordered a turkey prov and an Italian grinder. WAY WAY WOW! Pure magic, right amount of heat, meat and toppings all enveloped in some homemade pocket bread that was every bit as important to the flavor profile! YES FIFTEEN BUCKS and worth it! You guys have it going on!
What a great find for everything delicious and made locally by a talented team! If you're wondering what the best breakfast option is, get the breakfast sandwich with the homemade sausage patty. Wow! So good!
Kid-friendliness: Great play area near dining tables
I wanted to hopefully get good coffee on my travel through. I seen this place got good reviews. I am assuming mostly for the pizza. The coffee was some of the worst I have had. If I wasn’t on a time crunch I would have asked for a refund. This is just my opinion. I get so many coffee blends. Customer service was pretty good.
Friendly staff, worth the price of food, great for brunch or lunch. Open seating area. Turkey sandwich and veggie omelette were great
Perfect latte and a yummy cinnamon roll made for a great coffee break. Service was friendly and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere. A couple comfy chairs would make this a great hangout.
Came in on break from a film shoot, great espresso, pizza to go was perfect for dinner on location later that evening, asked if they had anything with chocolate and they pulled out cookie dough from a fridge in back and baked fresh cookies to go. Saying the customer service was all time would be an understatement.
Had a delightful coffee break here with some friends. Natalie was our server and she was DELIGHTFUL as well! She answered questions, gave recommendations on drink options and showed us the Speakeasy. We each had a piece of homemade dessert and all were delicious. They are known for their coffee and pizza. It's a bright, open space on the main drag. The owners were cool too. I wanted to try the trout toast, but they were out of trout.
I went to Kainos not expecting much, just a quaint neighborhood coffee shop. Outside, the unique design and brandof the establishment was jaw dropping. Once inside, the absolute friendliness of the staff shocked me. They greeted me with a smile, enough to warm my insides like I was standing next to a crackling fire. The owner Martin, was a kind soul and is now one of my bestest of friends. This establishment may change your life forever. I 1000 times recommended it.
Hands down the best pizza and coffee in The Dalles. The staff is super friendly. It’s a great place to bring your kids too. They have a dedicated play area for kids.
I love this place! So glad it's in The Dalles. Love the atmosphere and vibe and everyone who works there is super warm & welcoming.

This place is lovely, great quick service, awesome food, and outlets in convenient places for laptop users. I will definitely be back.
Always tasty pastries! Any spiral-biscuit thing they have is a must order. Need to come back and try their pizza.
Ten stars for the excellent, friendly service. It's legit the best coffee shop in the Dalles & worth getting off the interstate for. Interior is light & cheerful, coffee roasted in house and very good.
Great coffee shop with awesome staff and amazing food. Definitely going back. Yum!
One of the best cappuccinos I've ever had, and very friendly staff. The bar in the back is awesome too!
