Nice surprise. Somehow we'd never noticed this bakery, but very glad we found it. Grabbed a donut, a raspberry turnover, and a cream cheese & jalapeño stuffed bread for breakfast. The cake donut was soft, fresh and not overly sweet...but the other 2 were the standouts. We loved the flavor and uniqueness of the bread. And the turnover was one of the best and flakiest I've probably ever had. Service was adequate and the place is tiny with a couple of tables inside. The black coffee was average, but glad they offered. Yummy pastries! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and wanting a tasty treat!

A must stop by whenever I'm in The Dalles. My favorites are anything with the Bavarian cream filling, it melts in your mouth. Did you know Angel is a classically trained pastry chef? He cut his teeth at Skamania Lodge and now lends his expertise to bring his gourmet quality pastries to the town folk at a reasonable price! The strudel is the perfect balance of flakey and crisp. The scones are better than Starbucks at half the price. Breakfast pastries, donuts, pies, there's something for everyone!

Amazingly delicious homemade bakery run by a super nice family type crew. I got the savory ham and cheese with jalapeño and it was perfectly balanced with meat and I swear 2 types of cheese in a buttery flaky crust ?

I placed an order for 2 pies days in advanced and scheduled the pick up time and date. When I arrived to pick up my pies, they were not ready. I asked how much longer they would be until they are ready, they said 1-2 hours. Unfortunately for me I could not wait and said nevermind. When I asked why they were not ready at the scheduled time, she said they had another large order.I just don't understand how this happens. No one called me to let me know either.

Even though I arrived when they were closing and their most popular items were gone, what I had was still excellent. So fresh that the pastry melts in your mouth. I'd make the trip from Portland just to come here.

As a Retired LEO of 30+ years I've eaten many doughnuts from all over the USA. The goodies from this bakery are the BOMB!!!!! They melt in your mouth and make your taste buds scream for more. Well done folks our family will continue to stop by every time we come to town!!!!!
