MOMIJI JAPANESE & CHINESE RESTAURANT

Everything was overcooked to the point of vulcanized rubber. Miso soup tasted like a combination of dirty socks and fish oil. And since when did lightly poached eggs become scrambled eggs? With cooked food this poorly prepared and presented, I'm glad we didn't get any sushi.

This used to be my favorite place to get sushi in The Dalles. Recently they have become very slow, especially when you put in a to-go order. I am fine with you telling me it's going to take 30 minutes, but don't tell me it will be ready in 15 minutes and then make me wait for 15 minutes after I get to your store. I have also not been impressed with there to go orders as they always seem rushed and not put together well.

Their food was disgusting super tasting.They did not have sodas and wanted to charge $2 for a can.And the worst part is they did not have changing rooms.And when I asked them they told me go to your car and change your baby

This is now one of my families favorite restaurants. The food was so so amazing, all 4 of our meals we extremely hot (temp wise) and amazing. We will be back

I LOVE their chicken katsu dish, and the gyosa is divine. Dishes are out pretty quick and they have amazing sauces.

The reviews made me think that this place was gonna be great, but that was not the case. I went into this restaurant with two other people. The dinner combinations we ordered were the number 4 and two number 5s. The number 4 was okay, not great. The number 5 came with orange chicken that was too sweet, pork fried rice and broccoli beef. The broccoli beef that they served tasted like dirty dish water. The egg flower soup had the same flavor to it so we did not eat it. The total came out to be around 57 dollars, they took 10 dollars off. They didn’t have to do that but we ate about two bites of the meal so would have been better if they took the whole price of the meal off. When we left our plates were full and we didn’t bother with to go containers. Be careful out there because that meat tasted bad and I won’t be surprised if we all get food poisoning.

Fantastic Chinese dishes, easily the best in the Dalles. I didn't try the Japanese portion of the menu but I'd be shocked if it was bad.

Buyer be warned, the combo dinners are immense. Easily enough for two.

Momijis genuinely tries to be local, friendly, and good quality. It feels like a family run business and provides excellent sushi for a much needing small town. Both sushi places are good, but Momiji is slightly less expensive with a wee bit more hospitality. I love it here.

The food just isn't that good, it's expensive yet tastes cheap. The staff is nice. Also, paying $3 for a can of soda in a sit-down restaurant is just appalling.

Craving a bit of seafood and found this on our route. We ordered a couple of rolls, spider and Boston roll and a poke salad. There were locals eating ordering either Japanese or Chinese food. Service was efficient.
