Just passing through. Didn’t expect to find such a great breakfast spot. Staff was friendly, food was great , the place was very clean and priced fairly to boot. Any time I travel east I know where I’m having breakfast.

We were passing through town and craving/starving for breakfast. Seated right away, food was delicious! I highly recommend the stuffed French toast with strawberry! My boyfriend got the meat lovers omelet, it was loaded! Friendly staff, great service. Thanks so much!

As usual for a Saturday, they were busy. I love it when I get to sit at the community table. I meet the most wonderful people. The food was wonderful and the service absolutely delightful.
If you love small town friendly service, and good home style food with some extra yummy! Have breakfast here. 😋

If you’re looking for a place that feels like a warm hug from your hometown—with a twist of throttle—Mama Jane’s Diner hits all the right notes. This motorcycle-themed gem manages to strike a perfect balance between rugged cool and cozy comfort. From the moment you walk in, the chrome decor and vintage bike memorabilia catch your eye, but it’s the smell of sizzling bacon and fresh pancakes that really grabs your heart.

The vibe is pure small-town charm. Locals greet each other by name, and the staff? Absolute pros. The waitresses glide through the room like seasoned veterans of the breakfast battlefield—fast, friendly, and full of personality. You’ll feel like you’ve known them for years, and maybe you have.

Now, let’s talk about the food—especially the pancakes. There are so many to choose from, it’s almost overwhelming (in the best way possible). Whether you go classic buttermilk, banana nut, or dive into something more adventurous like cinnamon roll or blueberry lemon zest, each stack is fluffy, buttery perfection. It’s like grandma decided to open a biker cafe and put all her love into the griddle.

Other dishes don’t disappoint either—everything tastes homemade, hearty, and satisfying. It’s the kind of place where you clean your plate without realizing it.

If you like your breakfast with a side of nostalgia, a splash of rebel spirit, and a whole lot of heart, this is your next stop. Just don’t forget to bring your appetite—and maybe your leather jacket.

Stopped here for pancakes on 5/14/25. Haven't eaten here in several years, as i live in Vancouver WA. I forgot how big the pancakes are and ordered a full stack, which is 3 plate size pancakes. Should have ordered the short stack. (2). I saw other diners eating other things and it all looked amazing with good portions. Pancakes were Amazing!

Wheelchair accessibility: The concrete ramp is not steep, making wheelchair or crutch access easy, and most of the tables have 2, 3, or 4 chairs, making wheelchair access a breeze. Only the tables along the wall have a bench along the one side.

It was a treasure hidden in an out of the way place. Great food, great price, and great service. Couldn't ask for more.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a satisfying, very tasty breakfast at Momma Jane's Pancake House in The Dalles. The two of us shared a Momma Jane's Veggie omelet, which included their home-cooked potatoes (or hashbrown's if that's your preference), and toast or English muffin or a pancake. I personally like pancakes-and probably should have chosen one since Momma Jane's specializes in them-but I wasn't up for a syrupy, carb-heavy side and gave-in to my wife's choice of the English muffin. The food was great. The service was excellent. The coffee was decent. The place is clean, well-appointed with tasteful motorcycle-themed decor. Momma Jane's Pancake House is a place where "locals" go to eat, a fact which always carries weight in our (and probably most folks') dining decisions. Stop-by Momma Jane's and try a "waffle" or "pancake." In retrospect, I wish that I had!

A lot of the food is very good but I'll never order the hot turkey sandwich again. Meat was dry, stringy, and tough. My sister did enjoy her breakfast though.
