Stopped by while on an adventure to have breakfast and it was a really busy place. Didn't have to wait long though before getting seated and the food was really good and the service was good for how busy it was.. I would definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out for yourself.

Old diner feel. Great food at a reasonable price. Service was good and portions were large. Needs updating....badly. And new menu covers.

A nice place for breakfast in The Dalles. I always look for those one-off places and this one did not disappoint. The employees were friendly and attentive. The decor was really fun. The food was tasty.

We walked in and asked if we could be put on a wait list for our larger group. The hostess/waitress was an older woman with blondish hair and bangs. Our group was very nice and respectful. But this hostess was disrespectful off the bat. She loudly, and embarrassingly, told us to “wait outside” for her to call us. Along with other rude demands. Which we did immediately, however it was her demeanor and demanding tone that was very shocking. Our racially mixed group felt that her remarks were very pointed and aggressive toward us. Once we were waiting outside for a few minutes, she came outside and asked, “Can you sit at different tables or do you need to be together?” We said, “We would prefer together, but whatever is easiest.” She replied, “You’re gonna do whatever I tell you to do.” As soon as those words came out of her mouth, we knew we were not welcome. After she went back inside, I followed her in to let her know we decided to go somewhere else. As the only white member of our group; I found it interesting that she was relatively respectful to me when I spoke to her one on one… while she was wildly disrespectful to the other men and women in our group. Because of this, I would absolutely not recommend this establishment. This woman needs to be spoken to by management about her absolute lack customer service, as well as how to treats people who are kind and patient with her. If the owner has any question about our experience, please feel free to contact me.

I normally stop at Cousin's when I'm going through town, but decided to try something different. Not a great decision this time. Our visit started off somewhat normal when we were directed to "sit anywhere." We did, then I politely asked a waitress for menus when she walked by. Instead of simply handing us menus she tried to start this whole back and forth about how we somehow sat at the wrong table and that's why we had to wait for menus.I calmly explained that I wasn't concerned about the "wait" so we could move on and she finally dropped it and brought out menus. Service continued to be weirdly prickly throughout. While I did enjoy the unique syrups, the rest of the food was just OK and definitely nowhere near as good as Cousin's. They could also improve their service by leaving coffee and water carafes on the table like Cousin's does.Awkward experience overall.

We stopped in while passing through the Dalles. We were astonished at this little place! It was absolutely slammed when we came in and we had to crowd into a little corner table because the whole place was full and I can definitely see why! They had tons of fun pancake flavors and you can also get every option gluten-free, which I've never seen at a pancake house. I had the apple and walnut pancakes, which were absolutely delicious (not to mention they were about the size, these bad boys were MASSIVE!)They also had some kind of house made syrup on the side that was buttery/sugary and super delicious.Wait staff was friendly and service was pretty fast for how full the place was.We will definitely return next time we are in the area!Dietary restrictions: Every pancake option can be made gluten free

Cornbeef hash and eggs were good I wouldn't suggest the biscuits and gravy though. Fried potatoes were perfect. Coffee is Strange everyone agreed it tasted like hazelnut which wasn't bad but not my thing. Staff was super friendly.

Not much parking, they are always busy. It was my first time going in. Holy cow the food was good, plenty of it for the price you pay. I like the fact on the back of the menu it tells you the story of the place.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp, and tables for wheelchair people.

We have never eaten here before, but we’ve heard good things about this place. When we got here, the parking lot was full and there were only a couple of tables available. We knew that was a good sign, and the food and the service were just as good.
