The Pho broth was clean and delish
I placed an order and was told it would take 10 to 15 minutes. 20 minutes later of waiting I asked if my order was ready and was told it would be ready soon. Another 15 minutes of waiting I asked again and they asked me what my order was so I told them again what I had ordered and they said the order got lost and they had to redo it 😕
So another 10 minutes of waiting before I finally got my order. Took almost an hour when I was initially told 10 to 15.
Seriously the best food in the Dalles. The best orange chicken and fried rice I’ve ever had in my life, not even joking a little bit. Absolutely great establishment. Cool little hole in the wall. I’m obsessed with their food.
Egg rolls were small and I didn't like the taste. Pho broth was good, like to see more meat, veggies. I didn't like the rice dish.
I highly recommend coming here and enjoying the delicious food. This is seriously the most delicious Vietnamese food I've ever had!
Excellent
Salt and Pepper Shrimp:
The salt and pepper shrimp was the star of the show for me. Served piping hot, the shrimp were perfectly crispy on the outside, thanks to a light coating, and juicy inside. The seasoning struck a bold balance—salty with a kick of heat from jalapeños, plus a subtle sweetness from caramelized onions. Each bite had that addictive crunch, and the rice on the side soaked up the flavors beautifully. At $15.95, it’s a generous portion that’s worth every penny. If you like a little spice and a lot of texture, this dish will have you hooked.
What a hidden gem in a smaller community! We have tried pho in over 20 cities, the broth of this one ranks among the top.
We called and made sure that their broth is homemade, and was assured that they cooked the broth for 24 hours, which was reflected from the first sip of our order. We actually ordered a separate bowl of the broth to enjoy. The meat and noodles quantity is generous, so are the bean sprouts and basil, although we did ask for an extra one. The meatball is the only part we did not quite like. Other than that, everything was perfect!
We came in right after it opened up. The owner and chef was taking care of the plants outside and inside, to the small details of cleaning the drip pan under. The whole place is spotlessly clean, including the restroom.
The waiter is a young man who is efficient but not the big city friendly type. After talking with him more, you could tell that it is just his reserved personality.
Would definitely revisit it when we pass by next time. Highly recommended!
It's not even here
I only had 30 minutes for my lunch break at work to get food so I ordered ahead online. I never received a confirmation of my order or a pickup time. I went in person to check on my food and called twice with no response. Shutters down on the cart and no one appears to be there even though it says open and is accepting orders. I have requested a refund and am quite unhappy.

After seeing the reviews, we decided to try. I had the seafood pad tai and my husband had orange chicken. The person who reviewed the awesome pad tai must have a malfunction of the taste bud because the pad tai was the worst I've ever tasted!!! I eventually tried to kill it with hot sauce and it was still terrible! My husband's orange chicken was edible but not great. We wasted $30+ for this garbage!!!

I got the lemongrass tofu with vermicelli and it was totally inedible. The tofu was so covered with chilis that even after rinsing them off they still burned my mouth and lips. Since I dumped all of it in a bowl when I got home, the spice was coating everything, it was not salvageable. Not a hint of lemongrass, just CHILI. It is deranged to give someone food this spicy without labeling it as spicy. They didn't ask what spice level I wanted! You don't just assume folks want a 10! Experiences like this make me regret tipping on food I haven't tasted yet and the biggest bummer is driving 30 mins home so obviously I'm not going to go back to the cart to complain.
