Rivertap Restaurant and Pub

Thank you Rivertap! I haven’t been here in a while. I had really gotten disappointed in the service and food, specifically the fish tacos.
You’ve made an awesome comeback! My husband and I dropped in for the Happy hour and let me tell you it didn’t disappoint. The fish tacos were as I remembered, delicious!! I could actually taste the corn tortilla and it was soft and delicious.The fish was fried to perfection. The toppings….yum.
The service much better than the last time we were here. Our server had a bubbly personality and took the time to verbally tell us the beer options when we asked, something that seemed to be a problem in the past and one of the reasons we quit coming here. We’ll be back to enjoy some time in the game room.

The service here was awesome—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The food was good and arrived quickly, which we really appreciated.
That said, the atmosphere was much louder than expected. The basketball arcade game, punching game, and air hockey going at the same time, it felt very noisy and a bit overwhelming. Personally this took away from my ability to relax and enjoy the meal. This is a somewhat newer addition to River Tap and would likely be a great spot for families or groups looking for a lively, energetic environment, but for those seeking a quieter dining experience, it may not be the best fit. Ask to sit on the right side of the restaurant, the left side is where the shenanigans are happening. Overall, a solid restaurant—just not quite the atmosphere I was hoping for.

1st, not really their own beer, still they have local choices. 2nd, they don't do breakfast except on weekends (opening at 11:00a otherwise). 3rd only one visit so far and their billboard said breakfast, lunch and dinner. I turned in for breakfast.

We often pass thru The Dalles and regularly enjoy this pub. They have a great beer selection, I prefer stouts and they always have more than one to choose from. Also, they actually know what a beer on nitro means!

The setting is nice the layout is open and inviting. The food was good. The service could have been better but overall it was a good experience.

I had the hamburger and fries that was delicious. Fresh ground beef and prepared frozen patties. The fries were breaded and served hot. My wife had the Chipotle soup with a side salad. She said it was good, but nothing to write home about.
