We love this place, we travel from Gresham to the Dalles just to visit Shannon’s. The ice cream is superb, and the atmosphere and service are just as fabulous. This is a great find.

Stopped in last night and what a great choice that was! Such a cute place inside an old home in The Dalles. They have a great line up of their homemade icecreams including non dairy. They also carry Tillamook if that's what you'd like. Fresh waffle cones are an option as well. The Cinnamon Snickerdoodle was amazing!!
So good, vegan watermelon lime sorbet was excellent

I'm an ice cream lover, and this establishment has by far the best homemade ice cream I've ever tasted. The smell of homemade waffle cones will tempt you when you walk inside. I'm not generally a waffle cone person, but I couldn't resist the smell. And I'm so glad I did! The cone was made in front of me, served warm. It tasted so buttery, with an appealing slight chew. I got a scoop of Apple Caramel Crumble (delectable!) and scoop of Chocolate Hazelnut (decadent!).
You can tell this is a family operation from the outset. Great service and great people. Don't miss this shop.
