Ordered the Lamb Vindaloo (not too spicy while super flavorful) and Lamb Butter Masala (perfecly cooked tender and ah-mazing flavors) with Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naan. Wow. We're native Portlanders and this place is TOP notch. Be ready to wait a few min and know every min is worth it...

I recommend chicken biryani, very good balanced spicies, and plenty of chicken. I like spicy food, so this is perfect for me but a little spicy for my husband. The yogurt will make it less spicy.

Got the butter chicken, lamb masala and garlic naan. It was well priced and very good for a food truck. Good amount of food, One of them could have fed two of us.

VERY good Indian food!! Loved everything we ordered. The Palak Paneer was excellent, as was the chicken vindaloo and the garlic naan. You will enjoy anything you order here - it’s that good.

First off, the food I was made is absolutely incredible!! It was made in record time. Considering it is 107f this evening in The Dalles and they are cooking themselves, while preparing food for others with a wonderful attitude is just amazing!!

so there are two issues here 1) a bit pricey, 2) they didn't get the spice right. That said, the food is spot outstabding, clean, honest, not soaked in ghee. If I lived in The Dalles we'd be here 2x a month. Solid option. Go here.

Really good food! So far the butter chicken & chicken korma are our favorites(my husband is picky and really liked these). Did try the lamb vindaloo and I liked that, but husband didn't care for it as much he said it was gamy which I mean isn't unusual for lamb it has a different taste.

The naan we weren't a fan of. Well actually the first time it was alright. 2nd time was super dry/tough & bland like it was overcooked. I would give it another chance but if it's dry again, I won't get it again.

Overall do recommend this place the food is so yummy! I am looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Edit: I want to add I do wish they gave plates/bowels. Not a big issue for me I can bring 1 from home I suppose. We had been using the lids as a plate lol but doesn't hold very much.

Tadka is really, really great. We get their takeout almost every weekend. The typical cycle is to order 3-4 items, take them home, eat too much, collapse on the couch. My favorites are Chicken Butter Masala, Chicken Saag, Chicken Biryani. (I like chicken apparently.)

This place is AMAZING! We tried the butter chicken, naan, and the chicken tikka kabab. Everything was just the right amount of spicy, we asked for mild. There was still a little kick. The chicken in both dishes was melt in your mouth tender. The flavors are so intense. We tried both desert offerings. My husband loved the Gulab Jamun while I loved the Ras Malai.

It's authentic and it pains me to give less than 5 stars because the other one located in Biggs is so good! But consistently when I've come here the carry and masalas are lacking flavor and substituting spice. I like both. Unfortunately, it feels rushed or rather unloved especially when the same recipes 30 min away are crushing it with balance and perfection.

The BEST Indian food I’ve ever eaten !!! Scrumptious and such yummy layers of flavor !! I ordered the Chicken Masala the sauce it’s drenched in is very tasty ?!! And the long grain rice very delicious too !! We shared the Naan Indian fried bread and it tasted amazing with the sauces on top of it !! Looking forward to next time we come to try more menu items !! Yay ?
