Very dissatisfied with my experience here. There was literally no one when me and my brother walked in. Things seemed ok up until a party of 4 walked in. Suddenly my bro and I were completely ignored, and the party of 4 got everything they wanted. We were checked on one time. My brother is on the spectrum and called out to get the ticket and the blonde server seemed super annoyed at that, but it took so long that he couldn't wait any longer. Then when I asked to split the check she seemed annoyed again. I mentioned it was due to us paying with cash. We never got refills on water until we asked, I had to get up and ask for a soda. When we first got there I asked the guy worker if it would be possible to get a fish sandwich and he said no and also seemed annoyed that I even had to ask. When we left we didn't even get a thank you. It makes me wonder if it's due to us being Latino. The party of 4 were not.
Dinner and a Comedy show at Cooper Mountain Ale Works. Food is always good, service friendly, and the comedy story telling by Jon Bennett was entertaining. This was a fun downtown Tigard night out!
Cooper Mountain Ale Works is a small business in all the best ways! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was insanely delicious you can tell they put real care into everything they serve. Prices were totally reasonable, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back for more!
Pizza was great 👍👍
PRETTY GOOD PUB
Went here on a Friday night as a family of four and were very glad to have a reservation, as there was a wait for a table. We didn’t get to hear any live music, but love that’s a thing and will have to catch Bluegrass sometime.
Food was mostly scratch-made and a decent portion for the price. My daughter gobbled up her gf burger and had a lovely side salad served with it that was actually pretty big. Unsure if they make all their own dressings, but I suspect they do. The dressing on my Caesar was FIRE!
I will ask next time if they would make a burger into a salad for me because I want to try one of their handmade chuck-brisket burgers, but don’t want the bun .
It is hard to hear conversation in there because it’s loud and they do a poor job of having good sports on their TVs. We watched a re-run of an Angels game (era Ohtani) last night instead of one of the current games.
Server was very friendly and did a great job given the amount of tables she was serving. Food runner was working hard, too.
We will be back to this Tigard gem.
We love this place. Beautiful people , amazing menu, and great brew options. I love their Porter. So rich in flavor. Love it !
Banjo! Bluegrass 1st & 3rd Wednesday 🪕
Great hazy! …something PonyBoy😉🍺
So disappointing...had friends in from out of state and they wanted to eat outside, so we opted for Cooper Mtn Aleworks (my first visit, too.)
Customer service was basic, get-the-job-done kind of attention, lacking friendliness and warmth.
My brussel sprouts appetizer was pathetic...a smear of flavorful garlic aoli topped with what must have been frozen Brussels that were over-fried so that every bit was brown, papery-thin tasteless bits of crunch. I should have taken a pic to show here, but I rarely post a review and didn't think to. I also should have sent it back, but I opted to enjoy the company and not the food.
They would be better off just taking that dish off the menu.
My friend's Caesar salad looked adequate, as did the (small) soft pretzel.
Next time I'll opt for Harvest Moon across the street.
Last couple visits I have enjoyed the beer and food...though I wish they added tater tots.
EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

This place is a rare gem... Both a chill and casual bar with friendly faces, live entertainment, and an amazing beer/cider selection AND a great restaurant with excellent food made in house! It's so rare that you get both and this place nails it! Try the from scratch mac and cheese, enjoy house made sausage, or sip a beer or cider flight with charcuterie and pretzels. A lovely treat hidden away in downtown Tigard, perfect for locals but also totally worth a drive!
We were very constant customers when this location was Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub. Admittedly, had not been much since the ownership change. We went tonight, and were very pleased! What a joy to see Kenny still behind the bar! Our waiter Shayne was so nice and very helpful! Food was great! Oh man .. that seared veggie sandwich! Amazing! Great beer too! Thank you .. and we will be back!
One of THE best burgers.
THE BEST BURGER I have had since moving to the Portland area almost 11 months ago. It was so perfectly juicy, so flavorful, and just all around truly perfect. Not only is it the best burger since moving here, dare I say it's the best burger I've ever had -- and I used to work for a burger place. The pickles were perfect, the onion was sliced beautifully, the bun was the cherry on top of this perfect burger sundae. The fries were decadently crispy, and seasoned amazingly, without being overwhelming.
Unfortunately, I completely spaced on our server's name, but I think he had about shoulder length blonde hair -- either way, he made a FABULOUS suggestion on beer. I'm usually a stout kind of girl, even on the ridiculously hot days - and he recommended their With My Brand New Invention - an English style porter with Mexican vanilla added. And WOW. Dare I say I may be a full porter convert now? It was incredible. He also got me a sample pour of the Legend... Wait for it, Berry! A kolsch with marionberry to sip back to back with the porter, for an almost toaster strudel level of deliciousness.
I highly HIGHLY recommend coming here, even if it's just for their soft pretzel... Which also, of course, was delicious. I'm so glad we gave it a shot.
Can't wait to come back and treat myself! Hopefully they'll be doing the delicious mole infused beer I heard so much about!
We’ve been coming on and off for at least the last 3-4 years. I love this place because you know exactly what to expect. The food is always good, the beer selection offers a wide variety for everyone in the group. I’m a big fan of the Pale Ale but also enjoy whatever rotating cider they have on guest tap. They are also great about accommodating large groups. This is a true local and family owned and operated establishment and worthy of all the community support!
