When I arrived with my 88-year-old mother to have dinner, there was a game playing on the large TV. It was at an appropriate volume level and we sat down underneath the TV to eat and talk.
When the game ended, the employee (owner ?) turned on a John Wayne movie with the volume up loud. My mom, who is hard of hearing, asked if he could turn it down, and he did for a minute, but then turned it back up full volume without talking to us so we were forced to sit there in silence while he turned the bar into a movie theater. It was not a planned, posted event, and we found it extremely disrespectful to us as patrons and will not be returning.
