This place is engraved in my mind from a random snowstorm that struck about 8 years ago. In a nutshell, my friend and I got stuck at McMenamins from a snowstorm then ate and drank like royalty. Their food is delicious and their brews top it off for the ultimate experience. So next time there's a snowstorm, drop by John Barleycorns.

The fried food portion we ordered was overfried to the point it was uncomfortable to eat it, the tater tots were like bits of crackers with not much softness of the potato on the inside and same with the Scooby snacks. It wasn't great. Also when I tried to catch a waiters attention all of them seemed to strategically look past the actual customers and at things next to us or the empty table next to us and just zoomed past us it was to the point we were just gonna leave because no one seemed to care to stop by the table at all until they noticed my friend get up and finally someone came by, we expressed our concerns over the food we barely touched because it was too hard to eat and we weren't charged so that was nice but it was a frustrating experience

Great spot with a cozy, laid-back vibe. The food was really good and hit the spot, and the atmosphere makes it a place you actually want to hang out and enjoy your time. Perfect for a relaxed meal or casual get-together. Would definitely go back.

The waitress was lousy ...couldn't care less about us ..large tall lady wanted to gossip and do nothing if she worked for me she'd be gone ...very into herself.

McMrnamins us always an interesting choice. The buildings they select always have some sort of historical value. They fill them with interesting antiques, tchotchkes and even some handmade things that always catch the eye. This particular location, there were several things that have been carved from wood as well as a large antique wood burning stove that we got to sit right next to. Honestly, I'd love to own one. The food is always good and the service here was fantastic. The waitress was on cue consistently and brought us whatever we needed. She even split the dinner salad between myself and my wife so we could easily have that and then an entree without feeling like we needed to be rolled out of our stall.

Our server was told me that they could make a mocha of some type, they guess. It was on the menu and not restricted to a tome frame basis. I dont want to make this a big deal but that why I went there in the first place. Then, I saw another table get served what I asked for. It was odd to me that he didnt know what I was talking about.

Even though they were very busy, the service was great and the server was calm and friendly 👍. I was not sure about what I wanted but she never got impatient 🤗. Old ladies like me can be very annoying 🤣
