Great option for Chinese food. I came between rushes, so I had no wait and everything came out FAST! Not sure if it's the same at dinner time.

Hot and sour soup was just a tad heavy on the white pepper, but good. That's an accomplishment because I'm picky about my hot and sour soup. The tofu was clearly marinated and tasty (another large compliment from me).

Pork fried rice is another staple for me that a lot of Chinese restaurants fumble. It was surprisingly good! Not the best, but it had some good flavor. Either cinnamon or Chinese five spice was subtle, but noticeable.

Mongolian beef was fantastic, a bit better than most places I've tried, recently.

General tsao chicken was good. The breading was very crunchy (maybe a little too much?) but didn't go soggy and had a great sauce on it.

The tea was even good enough that I didn't add sugar, which is a literal first for me.

Food wasn't very good. I'm not sure if they were having an off day or what. Greasy and hard chicken, fried rice had no flavor. Disappointed

Excellent good, nice servers, the atmosphere is a bit dated, but charming.

The last time I was here, it was sometime in the early 2000s. I never came back because I thought the food sucked. Different owners back then. I should have known that today wouldn't have been any different. The food was bland as all heck. Canned sauces. My wife daughter and I happened to order the same thing - #7 dinner combo. NO FLAVOR! It literally tasted like bland hospital food. It tasted like the blandest white people food i've ever had; no offense, white people. I eat a lot and I didn't even come close to finishing my plate. My daughter took a few bites and couldn't do anymore even after adding salt a few times. My wife didn't finish hers eiyher. None of us took her food home. If you have crappy taste buds, maybe you'll think this is the best so-called 'Chinese' food in all of Oregon. Good luck. Dont say I didn't warn you. Oh yeah, the hot and sour soup and egg flour soup. We're also bland.

It's always our favorite. We've been around the country, and this is by far the best Chinese restaurant. Over 25 years coming and the quality has never changed. I don't know what year they opened, but my whole family has great memories going far back enjoying dinner or lunch. It's also our go-to recommendation for anyone new to the area or visiting. You get plenty of food for an affordable price. Friendly staff.

It was a good restaurant with good food. I didn't think it would be all that special but the service was wonderful and the food was fresh and tasty

BUT - and this vital - only if you're looking for retro 1950s americanized chinese food. Which these owners should lean into instead of cheap and bulky with video poker machines. The hot and sour soup is surprisingly good, with distinct vinegar and black pepper flavors and not a lot of cheap veg fillers. They could improve their quality significantly by reducing the breading/batter and better quality meats. The atmosphere is very in keeping with vintage retro and would make a fun kitchy night out with friends or date.

Great food, warm and friendly, fast service; delicious tea, too! The steamed sticky rice in lotus leaf was the best!!!

I love Yen's. I was introduced to the restaurant only a few months ago and have been back a number of times. The food is good! Fresh and very tasty. My favorite is the lunch combo with Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, and Kung Pao Chicken. The portions are immense, a steal at $12.95 (for the above-mentioned combo). It's a comfortable place, reminiscent of the old school Chinese restaurants I went to as a child living in Honolulu in the 70s and the service is pleasant and swift. Yen's is highly recommended.

We have been dining here for over 40 years. We have never been disappointed. Had lunch today, 1/31. Chee (sp) was our server. He was terrific. He always is. The food was so so good…Green Beans with Beef and the top shelf, never to be surpassed, Pepper Salted Shrimp. The quality and portion sizes are terrific. Give this restaurant a try! You’ll thank me later!

Super Bowl Party….a house full of hungry fans! We ordered “everything” off the menu! Some wanted no sprouts; others lots of peanuts; still others extra meat! Yen’s was flawless! Never missed a beat! Hot, fast, reasonably priced. This place can’t be any better! Thank you for doing the cooking! Btw…I picked the Eagles!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We placed an order online and were promptly charged. Upon arrival to pickup our food, the worker treated us with such disgrace and no understanding, and they DID NOT have our food. I showed the bank statement to prove the charge, but absolutely no caring or understanding. They wanted us to pay again in person. We walked out with no food and a very sour taste in our mouths from the disturbing customer service. We will be spreading the word on the horrible service we received at this establishment. We will never dine here again. We used to be frequent customers. Their food has never been consistent, and we mostly dined here to support a local business. Shame on you, Yen’s.

Never order online. They charge your bank, and then make you feel like the bad guy when you don't have an order confirmation, which they never sent! Really sad, going to mcdonalds tired and angry now.
