It's always our favorite. We've been around the country, and this is by far the best Chinese restaurant. Over 25 years coming and the quality has never changed. I don't know what year they opened, but my whole family has great memories going far back enjoying dinner or lunch. It's also our go-to recommendation for anyone new to the area or visiting. You get plenty of food for an affordable price. Friendly staff.
BUT - and this vital - only if you're looking for retro 1950s americanized chinese food. Which these owners should lean into instead of cheap and bulky with video poker machines. The hot and sour soup is surprisingly good, with distinct vinegar and black pepper flavors and not a lot of cheap veg fillers. Hot and sour soup was just a tad heavy on the white pepper, but good. That's an accomplishment because I'm picky about my hot and sour soup. The tofu was clearly marinated and tasty (another large compliment from me).
