Wonderful staff and amazing food!
No matter what our family orders we always love it!
The Huli Huli was some of the best chicken I’ve had in quite some time. If you’re in the area I’d highly recommend giving this place a try. Al was very kind welcoming me in, the ambience in the place is lovely. I will definitely be back!
We highly recommend this amazing restaurant. The owners are incredibly friendly and spent time visiting with us. The food was delicious. We had the kalua pork, chicken Katsu with rice and macaroni salad, garlic shrimp, spam musubi, salmon chowder and loco moco. Each dish was very appetizing and reasonably priced. We did purchase desserts which we took for later consumption. The cookies were fresh with perfect soft texture. Two other desserts were also purchased but haven’t been consumed yet. Al, one of the owners, was delightful to visit with. This is a restaurant we will definitely return to.
had the Huli Huli chicken plate lunch yesterday and the Death by Chocolate cake. OMG everything was absolutely delicious! highly recommended. Can't wait to go back next week
Came by at 6pm on a Saturday. They were closed, no notes.

We were so lucky to have come across this cafe. We were greeted by the cook himself and seated right away. The waitress was so kind and Al was beyond hospitable. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing with a beach theme. You must try the salmon chowder! Lots of desserts to choose from baked on-site. On Saturday they are on sale! We almost missed Toledo because of lack of signage and it’s not right off the road but I’m glad we found Cafe 235!

Cute place with tasty Hawaiian dishes. The dining room itself is pretty spare, but the food and service are honestly much better than you would expect. We ordered a few dishes, a dessert, and spam musubi. It was all very tasty.

Can't say enough good things about this place, the owner and staff AND the food! My husband and I shared the Dakine Kalua Pork plate lunch and barely at 1/3 of the meat before we were full. Happily took the rest with us, as well as 1/2 the rice. This meal was as good or better than anything we ate on the Island.
So much exceptional food at such great prices is almost unheard of these days, let alone being graced with such a friendly owner. The server was extremely accomodating as well and we just couldn't have had a better experience. We were visiting Newport when we decided to drive over to Toledo and I am so happy we did. Now, if I could just get him to open a restaurant near Portland.....hmmmm.
