Just go and get just about anything. Specifically get the coconut soup, the noodles , Momo's.... Just .. whatever you get, get more. I haven't had a meal from any any cart where I actually say "yummmmmm" inadvertently, eyes rolling back in head, after every bite. Prove me wrong.
Owner has been cooking and learning since she was a wee babe, bringing the goodness to the states.
I don't know what I would do without her.
Actually seriously favorite food in Portland.

We ordered veg chowmein and chicken momos. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful. She made sure to ask if we need fish and oyster sauce for chowmein if we are ordering Veg or else she can make them in veg base sauce. Chowmein tasted good, and it came with chili oil. Chicken momos were ok types, but it did come with green mint chutney, another sauce as well. I also confirmed if food was Nepalese or not (Lady is from Tibet and made some nice flavors of food).

Namo Buddha Cuisine is an unassuming cart in the middle of the heist complex at will challenge your assumptions about that a food cart can be.

Himalayan food is a treat and this woman owned business brings the authentic flavors of momo, roti and spicy chowmein. Every bite is a little joy of flavors and I giggle with delight at the mix of heat and seasoning. It's hard to go to the Heist and not get something from here.

Chicken chow mein ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- would reorder this for sure
- maybe not with chicken
- I loved it so so much, it would be a sad day meal
- would get this whenever I'm sad
- got spice level 3 and that was enough for me, it was slightly spicy without being too much
- didn't need the crisps on top

Momo with soup ⭐⭐⭐✨
- wouldn't reorder this
- not spicy enough
- filling didn't blow my mind
- it's all just ok

I live for her chicken pan fried momos and chai tea!
But honestly the food is amazing, always served piping hot and the owner is incredibly kind and friendly and often gives me daughter something yummy to snack on while we’re waiting for our food. I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve ordered from her literally hundreds of times since she set up this location on Woodstock.

Kid-friendliness: Owner loves kids! She is so kind.

My boyfriend and I were in Portland on July 4th and craving Nepalese food. We ordered chicken momo, chicken chow mein, chicken choila, and momo sauce for pickup (surprisingly, the sauce needed to be bought separately ). Our usual spot was closed for the holiday, so we tried a new place.

Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The momo tasted like frozen dumplings, the chow mein was like packet noodles with too much oil, and the choila was just chicken with rice and Chana cucumber and didn’t taste great. We ended up throwing everything away. The price of food was also very high compared to others and was not worth paying that much dollars. We were very upset with the food.?

The lady who was there was very friendly, but the food just didn’t hit the mark. If you're Nepalese, I’d recommend skipping this place. I won't be returning.

Great Nepali food options. Needs to bump up the spice levels a little bit.

Such incredible flavor in the chicken curry bowl! I can’t wait to come back for more. Seriously the most delicious thing I’ve eaten in a while and hands down best meal I’ve had at the Heist food carts. 10 outa 10 would recommend!
