Tita's Kitchen - Troutdale Station

Tita’s Kitchen is hands-down one of my favorite food trucks! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. My go-to is The Chicharrón sandwich. Slow-cooked pork, sweet potatoes (trust me, it works), a killer Peruvian sauce, criolla sauce, and the freshest bread! I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. If you haven’t been, GO. You’ll thank me later!

What the heck happened to the food here? I used to get the sweet and savory pork platter all the time in 2022-2023 and it was my fave. It's been awhile so I got it tonight and it was totally flavorless and bland. They used to include actual slices of real sweet potato but what I got tonight was just a bunch of gross soggy sweet potato fries dumped on top the pork and rice. They raised prices also so you get terrible cheap food that costs more. Where did the flavor go? Where are the sliced sweet potatoes? Also the plantains were terrible too, seemed totally burned on the outside. Just not what I remember it used to be.

The food is ok bland but the lady at the front has such a bad attitude. I understand having a bad day but that’s not a reason to treat your customers badly.

I don’t usually do reviews but. The lomo saltado I ordered was so bland. The flavor was just nonexistent. The meat was flavorless and how do I say just runny? mushy? The rice and fries were just whatever. My experience having lomo saltado is usually just good beef, tomato, and red onion. But this was like mushy beef and uncooked tomato

Peruvian cuisine doesn't get as much praise as it deserves, so I am doing my part to "raise awareness" by declaring that it is doggone delicious! There are *very* few food carts that can entice me away from ordering from a Montage Ala Cart truck if I see one, but Tita's Kitchen is one of them!

The Lomo Saltado sandwich is one of the best around, anywhere, mild or spicy, and does credit to the original dish, (minus the fries and rice), which is also on the menu. And to top things off, service is both fast and friendly!

Tita's Kitchen is absolutely one of the top two food carts at Troutdale Station! Very recommended!
