Poor experience. Pictures are not accurate. The check in counter and “restaurant “ are filled with clutter. My bathtub wasn’t clean so I asked for cleaner and a sponge which I was provided. He told me the housekeepers are young and new. When I returned the cleaner the owner told me he called and fired both his housekeepers. I asked him why he would do that the rest of the room is fine! I just love staying at this unique, clean, quiet hotel! I visited for the first time 27-30 June and loved it so much I returned again last week, 18-21 July! Both times to play golf at Buffalo Peak and La Grande Country Club. Thus, I felt it only fitting to reside in the 19th Hole themed room.This place isn't your run-of-the-mill hotel. I have had such a wonderful time at the Historic Union Hotel. Every single visit has been such a pleasant and positive experience. My credit goes to the owner, Charles Morden. He is kind and funny and makes everyone feel like family. You will not find that kind of service nearly anywhere else. I wish more businesses were like this hotel. If you get the opportunity to stay there, you will really enjoy it. Not to mention the unique decorating and antiques!
