Kah-nee-ta is an amazing place to visit. River floats, private riverfront cabanas, horseback riding, trails, teepee camping, and story telling by Delson are all can't miss attractions. So much wisdom to be shared. This is my 3rd visit and we will be returning in the future.

Nice place good food did not swim

Very different experience than when I was younger. Lots of renovations. The lazy river is a nice addition but I miss the water slide. Super friendly and helpful staff. One price gets you all day of swimming. Restraunt next to pool has drinks, there are private soaking tubs to rent and a polar plunge.

Motel 6 quality for 4 seasons prices- an absolute ripoff. Came here for my wife’s birthday and we almost left after the first night.

I even called and complained - asked for a slight refund of $150 and they said no because it’s in their policy. The local news channels told me this place is redone and it’s not. Only the pool - which is decent but not good enough to stay overnight.

The amenities that they claim to have are all rundown (putt putt in photo even was just dirt). Pickleball/basketball courts look the same.

The video posted of the “ restaurant” was basically a high school cafeteria. The options are burgers, pizza, and chicken fingers. This wouldn’t matter much if they were not so remote- but going anywhere is about 25 min away. It would be the warm springs casino- which had a tad more options but still fairly far.

The WiFi- (screen shot) - nothing will connect- it just spins and spins trying to connect. We had 3 devices; non worked. Which is important because we’re in the middle of nowhere with little to no cell service. What hotel in 2025 has no WiFi?

The TVs don’t even work.

There is no front desk like a normal hotel. It’s literally a little shack when you drive into the parking lot. They hand you a map and a code for your door. Ours never had a code (see photo) and we had nobody to call. The front door to room had burnt out porch light so we couldn’t see the door code screen to enter a code. It took them about 30 minutes to find someone who could give us a code once we arrived.

All this for almost $400 a night. The photos of the rooms online show Pendleton blankets and look nice- they look nothing like the online photos.

This place is absolute garbage. I’ve never stayed at a hotel so disgusting and lacks basic customer service. 2 star European hostels are nicer than these.

Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday.

The stay in the teepee was great! The pools were also awesome. The only minor dislikes were the restaurant was mid (eat at the wellness food cart for sure) and the music at the pool was pretty loud. That said, I love the morning pool exercise class and I HIGHLY recommend finishing your stay with the hair spa treatment. In fact, my whole group enjoyed the various spa services.

It was good I think they need a wave pool and lazy river needs less lazy but we had fun

It was nice but nothing spectacular. No slides, not enough heat pads to keep you from burning your feet on the hot cement. We rented a 2 person cabana.... LOL it was actually a double beach recliner with an adjustable hood that only covers the top portion of the body. Not to expensive to get in, $35 pp, but almost everything else is expensive. Cabana was $49 for the day. Probably won't be going back....

Love the hot pools! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
Love that they kept the OG bears! ❤️
Love the new covered tables and umbrella chairs.
Staff was all very courteous :)
The restaurant is more of a snack bar. But they're working things out. The food was great.
Love that there is still the tee pees, cultural salmon bake, dancing, and jewelry selling.
Rooms were clean and nice.
Breakfast buffet was very good. Appreciated the scrambled eggs not being runny as they typically are at buffets.
Love the embroidered sheets and Indian blankets!
Kids loved the mini golf, ping pong, and of course the swimming!

Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa is a unique getaway that combines relaxation, culture, and adventure all in one place. Surrounded by the stunning Warm Springs Reservation landscape, the resort offers a peaceful escape with beautiful views of the high desert and river valleys.
The hot springs are the highlight—soaking in the naturally heated mineral pools is both soothing and rejuvenating. The spa services add to the relaxation, with professional staff and a range of treatments that make it easy to unwind. For families, the large pool area with slides and activities is a huge hit, while adults can enjoy the quieter spa facilities and casino.
Accommodations are comfortable, though not overly luxurious, with some rooms showing their age. However, the warmth of the staff and the overall atmosphere more than make up for it. Dining options are varied, featuring local flavors and hearty meals, though service can sometimes be a bit slow during busy times.
What makes Kah-Nee-Ta truly special is its connection to the Warm Springs community and culture. Guests can enjoy local traditions, events, and history woven into the resort experience, giving it a more meaningful and authentic feel compared to standard vacation spots.
Overall, Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa is a wonderful destination if you’re looking for a relaxing, family-friendly retreat with a cultural touch and natural beauty all around. It may not be the most modern resort, but it offers something far more memorable—an experience rooted in nature, healing, and community

We loved our time at Kah-Nee-Ta. It was very retro to me. Brought back good memories of playing in the pools with friends and family.
The lawn chairs that are offered for free are not very comfortable. I can see renting a cabana for the next trip.
The food not great. Glad my vegan daughter wasn't with me. There didn't seem to be much for vegans.
What I loved is the retro-unplugged-low sensory simulation experience. Back to basics and simple. It was heaven! Kids engaged with each other, they played water volleyball and basketball or just played in the pools. No one was stuck to their phones or gaming device.
Next trip hopefully we can take advantage of the of the putt putt golf, or even the horse back riding.

Rented a tent that had to be 2 days minimum. 170 each night, show up and the tent is filled with reclining beach chairs that areb7 ft long, 9 of them to be exact. Spent the first 30 minutes of my trip taking the chairs out of the tent so we could even use it. The floor was covered in garbage, jolly ranchers , gum, dirt, leaves , covering the floor. Not sure what the 170 a night charge is for when the tent comes with 0 electricity and no cleaning. The part that was odd is that out of the 20 tents only 2 where being used . One by us and one by another group, yet they couldn't clean 2 tents before our arrival. Our table was broken also. There is no hiking area or biking area and you're not allowed to roam and explore as its a reservation and they dont allow non Indians to access any land off the small paved area. The pool is nice but has changed from the original big pool with plenty of room to several small pools that are nice but dont give much room to swim. Mostly just soak and stare at peole awkwardly. Nothing here to do for 2 days so we are taking off early so we definitely dont feel like its worth staying in the tents especiallywith a 2 day minimum. The putters at the putting station are badly damaged so finding a putter that works is difficult. My suggestion is come for the day and soak and get to your next place. Sisters isn't to far or bend.

We pulled in Monday. It’s now Wednesday. And we already extended our stay because the vibes are vibing.

Now full transparency - we came without kiddos, and midweek is def the move if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Monday was a lil’ busier but still chill. Nothing chaotic. Just enough action to keep it interesting. So far we have enjoyed the pools, outside bar & dj, evening peaceful swims, the river float (so fun), and a nice clean campground.

I saw all the reviews talking about “rude staff, dirty pools, overpriced food” and I’m honestly confused. Did y’all even go here?

Because here’s what we experienced:
Pools are clean and low-key magical at night.
Staff are busy, sure - but still very friendly and super helpful.
The prices are on par with any decent resort. You’re not getting dollar store nachos, but you’re also not being robbed. (And the fry bread is top notch!)
Didn’t stay in the hotel, but we talked to a couple in the pool last night who did and said it was great. No complaints, no drama.

So yeah… I don’t know what those 1-star folks were smoking, but we had a great time. So good we’re staying longer. Weekday travelers with no littles - this is your sign. Come soak in the quiet, float in the pool, and live your best vacation-core life.

Might just come back next Monday tbh.
