“Great Fry Bread and related food. The Fry Bread Taco and Fry Bread burger are both wonderful. The prices are extremely reasonable (almost too low), the service is great, the people working here were very friendly. An amazing experience, a new stop anytime we come through the area. Conveniently just a block off the main highway.”
“Five of us had delicious breakfasts this morning. Excellent Denver omelet, French toast, eggs, bacon, etc.! Friendly, fast service in a beautiful setting. Thank you! 5 stars!!”
“The have really good dining food and stuff their just not open all the timeKid-friendliness: There is a section just for the youth much appreciated as a father...Wheelchair accessibility: The buttons work”
“when you walk in your instantly transported into another realm. I was lifted off the ground and placed in a chair while they made my drinks from scratch using ancient magic. As I was handed my drink a purple lotus I immediately felt like I was transported and literally grew wings. I felt good and pure in soul as I slowly drank my drink and even became clarovoyant for a few moments. halfway through I started giving wisdom to strangers and by the time I finished I became the first president of Warm springs. I have suspicion they carry a remedy made from the fountain of youth and the water of all knowledge but this is just a guess. if your curious about the experience check it out.... you will truelly find yourself after a few sips.”
“Stopped here on a whim after seeing they have cinnamon rolls on Yelp while rolling through town en route to Bend. It's a little off the highway, but worth it! They have a good variety of baked goods--breads, pies, cookies, brownies, scones, and of course, cinnamon rolls! They had regular ones as well as some with marionberry on top, and a pecan sticky bun. I had the regular one. It was amazing, such a perfect road trip treat! It was soft and light, not dense or dry at all--I recommend having them warm it up. It did not have a lot of cinnamon in it, but it wasn't needed. The frosting tastes like it has maple in it, which made it even better. The only thing wrong with this place is it's only open Fridays and Saturdays. If it were open on my way back home, I would get a whole tray to bring back!!”
“This little coffee shop is so adorable. I came to meet someone for a study session and they were so welcoming and helpful! My brain wasn’t quite awake and I ordered the wrong thing and they just fixed it for me with a smile on their faces. I will come back whenever I get a chance!”
“We stopped here for breakfast before a long drive home to Yamhill Oregon. We were drawn by the other good reviews, as well as the fact that we could keep an easy eye on our dogs and also safely let them out for a bathroom break. The service was fast and the food and drinks were really yummy, as well as being GIGANTIC portions. Highly recommend!Parking: Easy, wide open parking.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly menu items and the owner is a grandma, so she gives out the friendly Grammy vibes ❤️.”
“Surprising little hole in the wall type shop. Like a permanent food truck in an open food court of 3 shops. More than enough seating in evening. Only saw 3 other customers do pick-up orders, but food is decent as is the serving size - we did order the bento style combos mind you.”
“This is part of an outdoor food court. It was the only place open on a Sunday evening among the three places here. I ordered a Thai iced tea and the spicy salmon roll, which has avocado, salmon, cucumber, and masago. Fairly tasty. The Thai iced tea was a lot less sweet than what I am used to.The cashier/cook was friendly and efficient. I received my food in less than 10 minutes. All food is served in takeout containers Overall, not a bad place, especially if you need a quick bite when passing through Madras.”
“Fantastic food!! Definitely fine dining. Service was very good and the atmosphere was casually quaint. Looking forward to going back when they have the outside seating set up. The food was artistically presented and very flavorful.”
“The friendliest place in town. I have always loved the food, never been disappointed. Prime rib on Friday and Saturday is a must try, ask for horseradish cream! I also enjoy cheeseburger salad for lunch and Benedict for breakfast/brunch. They use real fresh hollandaise sauceKid-friendliness: The most kid-friendly place in Madras. Keep the kiddos out of the gift nook if you don't want to buy teddy bears for the whole family ?”
“We stayed on a Friday and Saturday. The pizza is always very good and the drinks were flowing. Rick and his staff are great. As far as being willing h Harvest Host, Rick was very accommodating when we didn’t have a place to stay on Friday he said it would be fine for us to spend the night there. We will be going back there on another trip to central Oregon.”
“Oh, what a delightful place Yara’s Cake Shop is an absolute haven for cake aficionados. The cakes are pure magic - divine flavors and lovely designs. The staff? They're like sweet frosting on the cake - so warm and helpful!this place is a slice of heaven for any cake lover. Swing by for a treat; you won't regret it!”
“Great little bar! We had chicken bacon wrap that was stuffed full and very tasty chicken wings that would put Buffalo wild wings to shame! Definitely would stop again when coming through Madras! Our waitress was very attentive and amazing too!”
“Best Mexican food ive found in the entire North West of the state's. Wish it was closer to home. I guess I will be relocating to be closer to it!Parking: The location appears to be a old sonic, so there is plenty of covered parking!Kid-friendliness: Had booster seats available. Hard to come by for fast food joints.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking space with easy access to front door.”
“Was drawn in by the lure of$2 Tacos on a Tuesday. Friend and I got 6 Al Pastor and 6 Tri-Tip. Comes with Salsa Verda, Onion, Cilantro and Cotija. The Tri-Tip was great, juicy, tender, and chopped fine on the flat top. The Al Pastor though was FANTASTIC! Chopped fine with the same ingredients. It takes a little longer to prepare but my Guy uses a passed down family recipe and it's top notch! He is also very friendly and conversational which was a plus in my book. Kudos! Very much worth what you pay. Will most definitely be back!P.S. They aren't just a taco truck. He has Sandos, Wraps and smash burgers too!”
“We were passing by and found this place by accident. In all fairness, it was the happiest accident I've had in a long time. Let me start with the people who manage and serve food at this place: they are very kind, friendly and very helpful. The cook is probably the best Mexican cook in the entire Oregon state. Great food, amazingly tasty, potions are just the right size and the price is more than fair.Even though I live far away from this place I can't wait to come back in the future.”
“A wonderful little place that's clean, comfortable and very reasonable. Best New Yorker sandwich I've had in a long time. Definitely the best stopping.point between Portland and Sunriver.”
“Spent the morning hiking at Smith Rock and on our way to Portland, we wanted some coffee and came across The Human Bean. I got a Cinnamon Toast Snowy and my boyfriend got an Arnold Palmer. Both were very good! Would definitely stop again if we came across another location.”
“Parking: One parking lot and useful to use parking lot across the street from itKid-friendliness: Great food for kids and great environmentWheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp to make it wheelchair accessibile”
“We're beyond grateful ? and thrilled for The Wandering Chef's food and experience! My husband and I worked with him for our reception that hosted about 120 people. The food was incredible! Without much direction, he got our vision ? The food was the quality of a high end restaurant--light, bright, and bursting with flavor (and my personal fav, the two main dishes had lots of veggies)--with the ease, affordability, and whimsy of the traveling food cart (that just parked on our driveway!) So many of our guests raved about the food and the gourmet Mac and Cheese ? was a hit with the kiddos (and adults). We highly recommend The Wandering Chef!”
“This place deserves a higher star rating. Service was good, staff polite and on the ball, food was served fast, and the tofu and mixed vegetable dish was the best I had in any Chinese restaurant.”
“In town for work and the hotel I was staying at recommended this restaurant. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I will be back the next time I am in town.”
“(Translated by Google) A good place to lose or win money and also have a few cold beers.(Original)Un buen lugar para perder o ganar dinero y también tomar unas cervezas frias.”
“Elated we found a food place that we could go inside and use the restroom as well as get food. 2 gentleman were shoveling snow off the side walks and putting down salt. Used the restroom and they were very clean! Gal inside served our food. All staff were very kind! Thank you, great service!”
“I love the smell of fresh baked goods. The worker stayed open so I could get my bolillos. Which were very fresh and soft. Good quality breads and Mexican pastries.”
“Amazing food and 10/10 customer service. The young man in this picture is such a kind person. He saved my pet dog from getting hit by a semi? Not to mention that he also bought my friend a hellcat.”
“Met & had dinner with family at Mazatlan in Madras. Mazatlan is one of my favorite restaurants. Staff is always cheerful & friendly, food is always good. I've never been disappointed!”
“The best Chápala burritos I have eat fresh bell peppers, avocado and cheese the beef tested so good for sure will be comeback!Kid-friendliness: Super great stuff 5 stars rate.”
