Sometimes you just need a good, old-fashioned deli sandwich. And that's exactly what I found at Great Earth Cafe & Market in Madras. No bells and whistles, just simple, tasty ingredients on fresh bread. Plus, they have delicious fresh baked cookies. Not a gourmet experience, but it definitely hit the spot and won't break the bank.
Stopped for coffee and pastry. Would absolutely return for breakfast or lunch. We watched beautiful salads and sandwiches go by. They had a decent wine and beer selection and even a hard liquor bar. Friendly, clean. Avoid the chains, support locals !!

A wonderful little place that's clean, comfortable and very reasonable. Best New Yorker sandwich I've had in a long time. Definitely the best stopping.point between Portland and Sunriver.
