On our trip from Seattle to Lake Tahoe we enjoyed a great evening at the Big Basin Distillery. Such a warm, friendly welcome from all the staff. My husband enjoyed the whiskey sampling room. It is very interesting how they infuse the flavored vinegars they make into their cocktails. Besides the whiskey we bought, I also got a sample package of 4 different flavors of vinegar to try. On our way home from a trip to Hood River we decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat and drink. We are so glad we stopped. We live in Redmond and were just going to wait until we got home to grab something but now we are excited to make a Saturday trip back to Madras. The drinks and pizza we ordered were very good and reasonably priced. Madras is stepping up

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday. The pizza is always very good and the drinks were flowing. Rick and his staff are great. As far as being willing h Harvest Host, Rick was very accommodating when we didn’t have a place to stay on Friday he said it would be fine for us to spend the night there. We will be going back there on another trip to central Oregon.
