We stayed on a Friday and Saturday. The pizza is always very good and the drinks were flowing. Rick and his staff are great. As far as being willing h Harvest Host, Rick was very accommodating when we didn’t have a place to stay on Friday he said it would be fine for us to spend the night there. We will be going back there on another trip to central Oregon.

On our trip from Seattle to Lake Tahoe we enjoyed a great evening at the Big Basin Distillery. Such a warm, friendly welcome from all the staff. My husband enjoyed the whiskey sampling room. It is very interesting how they infuse the flavored vinegars they make into their cocktails. Besides the whiskey we bought, I also got a sample package of 4 different flavors of vinegar to try. For dinner we had a wonderful wood fired pizza. Each pizza is paired with a suggested cocktail from the bar served in a iced copper cup. Seating is indoor or outside with a cooling mister going that was very refreshing. We were lucky enough to be there when they had an art class in the distillery room as a large number of people were painting bouquets of flowers. Next month's class is fish painting. How unique and fun. Thanks for a great evening. We'll be stopping again when we drive back north.

On our way home from a trip to Hood River we decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat and drink. We are so glad we stopped. We live in Redmond and were just going to wait until we got home to grab something but now we are excited to make a Saturday trip back to Madras. The drinks and pizza we ordered were very good and reasonably priced. Madras is stepping up

What a warm inviting staff, I don't drink and I was picking something out for my daughter and the gentleman behind the counter was a sweetheart and help me pick just the right gift, When I gave it to my daughter she just flipped she was so happy, Thanks guys

This is our 2nd time here and we love it.We are part of Harvest Host so brought our RV and stayed the night. We had the best service from the bartender. Owners are so friendly the pizza is amazing..The 2022 Irish whiskey is so good. They even allowed our baby Boxer Maggie in, where she promptly went #2, they were so kind about it, no worries "not the worst thing this floor has seen" she said ;)

No one from New Basin was there when we arrived. The coffee stand outside told us that even though New Basin was supposed to be open, they had just left and she didn't know when they would be back. But she thought they'd be back. I understand having to close early, I just wish they'd left a note on the door letting you know if theyd be back or let the coffee stand know. Just as we were leaving someone arrived and told us it would be another hour until someone else would arrive and that person would open the store. We couldn't wait that long so we left.
