Has a good atmosphere when it not full of young d*** coasties, those guys can really make a place annoying in a hurry. They have pool tables and friendly regulars but it is Coast guard themed bar.
01/14/23 - Stopped here for 1st time ever, while on road, to catch Seahawks vs 49ers.Struck us as a quintessential neighborhood bar, with very old, but very cool decor. Loved the focus on football, racing, and local Coasties base.All the locals treated us like long time friends, and one even bought us a round (with the entire house!)Feel bad I've forgotten bartenders name, as she was outstanding despite being alone & doing everything - i.e., drinks, cooking nice burgers...
However if you want wonderful dive bar on the Oregon coast with amazing history, friendly bartenders, video poker, and decorations that have been up before smoking was banned in bars in Oregon. This is where you want to be.
