Highly recommend the food. The service staff seem to be evolving and not particularly well trained. Our server was ten days old. Part of the order forgotten. But, when asked about items on the menu, “I really don't know” was the standard answer. But you can trust this, everything was so fresh and yummy.

Great dining experience! High quality sushi in a very peaceful environment. Easy parking and good service. Price points are higher than I expected but for the quality of sushi they serve, I would definitely come back!!

Meh experience. Slow service, no one filled our waters, wasn’t impressed with the sushi, no wasabi on sushi plates, and had to ask twice for the check. Overpriced for the quality and mediocre atmosphere. No music playing either.

Sushi Kuni & Izakaya West Linn spoils West Linn residents with its wide variety of excellent Japanese food and drinks within easy reach. I find sushi excellent no matter where. But this restaurant has given a new meaning to sushi for me. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and gives guests the opportunity to feel secluded even during busier times.

I’ve been to many sushi restaurants in all the cities I’ve lived in and this is by far the best. They buy from the fish markets in Japan, drive to Seattle once a week to pick up their order. You can taste the difference compared to other sushi restaurants in Portland. The customer service, food, and ambiance is exceptional. When my niece visits me she loves when we go here. Now when I try other sushi restaurants in Portland they are nowhere near as good as here.

The ambiance is fantastic and you wouldnever realize you are in a strip mall. Sushi is both fresh and fantastic! The service is top notch and all are friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone that appreciates great sushi!!

Updated for January 2024. This is still the best sushi I've ever eaten in the US. And Canada. I haven't been to Japan since 1977 so I can't say if it's as good, but when you fly in fish from Japan, serve it correctly, and make the rice right... this Sushi is up there with the best.Updated. Brought friends here and they confirmed its the best sushi they've eating anywhere including Nobu in NYC. We had 3 of the special rolls plus hamachi and fatty tuna. Also edamame. All excellent fresh, clean, delicious. Next week I'm bringing my son and his wife for omakase!Wow. I'd never expect sushi this good in.... West Linn? I've been eating sushi a long time dating back to a summer in Japan in 1977. Sushi Kuni serves sushi that's among the best I've ever eaten. I had two "plain" pieces - including the folded omelet and fatty toro. Wowsers. I think this is better than Bamboo Sushi (which I like very much too.) Sushi served at the right temperature with high-quality ingredients. I'll be back. Too bad I live 5 minutes away!Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie food.Dietary restrictions: Im allergic to shellfish, clearly marked on the menu.Parking: Big shopping plaza. Free parkingKid-friendliness: Seems like a place where kids would be fine.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a curbcut to get from car to entrance.

Fresh fish, great service, and creative rolls, this place is a hidden gem in West Linn and has quickly become our go-to for sushi. It's spendy, but you get what you pay for, which is a top-class dining experience in an unassuming location.

This is the best sushi restaurent in the Portland area in my opinion. The variety and preparation of the food is excellent. Service is consistently very good. The sake, wine, and mixed drink choices are great. They have periodic special events which are also fun.
