Do not take my rating to deter your visit. This was my first time visiting and had expected that due to the fully functioning restaurant, the attached store would be more robust in what was offered. I expect the fact that Milton-Freewater, La Grande, and even Elgin & Summerville are all within 60 mins, it would be difficult to justify a meaningful stock of supplies.

We have driven past here a hundred times but never have stopped for dining until today.
Way to expensive for a light lunch, the Huckleberry Bratwurst was not to my liking at all, just ate the frys. The bartender's antics were the best part of the experience.
Next time we will drive the extra 21 miles to Elgin Station (always a good stop).

Great food, great service and an incredible setting at the top of Tollgate. If you have an hour or so to kill and you're hungry it's worth the stop.
Sit outside and enjoy nature if the weather cooperates.
