The owners are fantastic people whom you will want to get to know! The location is ideal, getting cooling breezes in summer. The converted milking barn is a fun place in the winter, picnic benches and heaters. If you come in winter, dress warmly. A wonderful place to spend a Sunday Afternoon!
Beautiful place, wonderful wine, gracious hosts.
We stumbled upon this wine at the open-air market in Grants Pass, then headed out there to visit the winery that afternoon. It's definitely not your typical wine experience, which is what is so cool about it. The owner was extremely hospitable despite the fact that we came close to closing time (website was off by an hour), and we enjoyed the wines, food, and environment immensely. We are looking forward to when she can get her wine club license (yes, there is a wait list for this - ugh).We will make it a point to visit this place whenever we are in the area. And the bonus? When we were leaving, there was the most vibrant double rainbow we've ever seen! That's a good sign for sure.
Great wine, admired their trained horse "Tucker"

Our favorite place when visiting Applegate Valley. This was our second visit and hyped it to our daughter for a year...she said it lived up to our expectations. Thanks again for making great wine and having such a cool place to visit. Can't wait to become members when available. We'll be back for sure!
We went on a July Friday evening, 6’ish. They had live music and BBQ available for purchase as a fund raiser for the Lyons. There is plenty of spacious parking. Seating is available under the big open barn or just outside on the grass with Adirondack chairs or tables. There were many people with young children, so it’s family friendly. Each table had a little cup of goldfish crackers on it and the people next to us brought their own snacks. We tried the GSM, I liked it. The glasses were complimentary if you are looking for a souvenir. I enjoyed the family feel. It was a different experience than some of the other vineyards where you’re seated looking out over the vines, like Walport. I saw port o potties, I don’t know if they have an actual bathroom. We bought our wine at a table on the way to our seats. I asked about the GSM, as Augustino sells a GSM that I love. The guy selling the bottles seemed disgusted at my stupidity as he explained that GSM is a blend and “anyone can make it”. It was rude but now I know. No one came around to see if we needed anything. Someone did come around offering free garden zucchini’s which was very nice. I prefer Augustino’s GSM. I also prefer Walport’s, Wooldridge’s and Augustino’s service, and setting.
We visited Plaisance years ago and loved the tasting experience. But the proof of their skill is in the 2015 Petit Verdot we're enjoying this afternoon. It's smoothed out since we first tasted it, but still has a nice, balanced tannin structure. It's complex and smooth all at the same time. Really a special wine after cellaring all these years.
Subpar wine with subpar customer service. Owner would rather pay attention to a tourist couple then 3 locals, and not even tell them what wine we were tasting. Much better off going to Schultz, Troon, Apricity, Waldport, or Augustino than going here.
Joe and Suzi run an excellent vineyard, tasting room and ranch. The wine is the best in the Rogue Valley and the grass-fed organic beef/lamb can't be beat. Don't miss the opportunity to give either a taste.
