I worked here back when this place was everyone’s go-to stop in Yamhill — simple, solid, and welcoming. Lately, though, it feels like it's trying too hard to be upscale, and in the process, it's losing the charm that made it special. This is farm country. People around here aren’t looking for a boutique experience — they just want good, honest food served with some down-home hospitality. If you're aiming to serve the local crowd, it helps to stay grounded in what they actually want.

Now, onto why I’m leaving this review: I ordered from you once last November and the food was actually pretty decent — classic burgers done well. But since then, I’ve tried to call in an order three separate times, months apart, and no one ever picks up the phone. That’s a real barrier when folks are just trying to grab a quick meal after a long day. It's frustrating, and honestly, a missed opportunity to serve the people who’ve supported this place from the start.

Also worth mentioning — I’ve seen other reviews bringing up how the waitress comes across as rude or unfriendly. That might be overlooked in a big city where people are in and out, but it doesn’t sit well in a small town where people have lived here for generations and neighbors are considered family. In a place like Yamhill, word of mouth travels fast — and it can either sink a business or help it thrive. None of us want to see a failed business we want to support you!

That said, I’m still willing to give it another try — if someone will just answer the phone. I usually call on nights when I can’t cook, and it’d be great to have this spot back in the regular dinner rotation.

Food was real good, service was slow and beyond unacceptable. Had some bad service there all last summer and stopped going. . wanted to give it a try again. It’s worse. Rating Bartender 1

My steak was cooked to perfection! I let it sit for a few minutes, while I assembled my baked potato 😆

Whoe! The great free pool table is gone!..The cute quirky barmaids were gone! Replaced by a 20' long serving table and two extra large not too friendly gals in matching. weird referee outfits..At least this was my observation on Superbowl Sunday. I felt like I wondered into the wrong bar...temporary change??

The food was definitely tasty, my waitress Sivana gave my son and I the best service I've had in a long time!! We also really enjoyed the fire pit on the patio. Check it out it's worth it!!

Horrible place to work for. They fired my mom with no reason. That way they don't have to deal with workman's comp. She is a late widow renting on her own at the moment. Pretty sad that they are that petty to not give a reason for being fired. They have a history of doing this to their employees. I wouldn't suggest working for them.

Excellent food! We got the western burger and yamhill nachos. The yamhill nachos could easily feed two people.

Great bar. Didn't go into the restaurant side, but that's how we roll. We stopped in on our way home (we are about 30 minutes away) and the staff was great and so was the food. Worth the trip, we will certainly be back.
