Horrible place to work for. They fired my mom with no reason. That way they don't have to deal with workman's comp. She is a late widow renting on her own at the moment. Pretty sad that they are that petty to not give a reason for being fired. They have a history of doing this to their employees. I wouldn't suggest working for them.
Excellent food! We got the western burger and yamhill nachos. The yamhill nachos could easily feed two people.

Great bar. Didn't go into the restaurant side, but that's how we roll. We stopped in on our way home (we are about 30 minutes away) and the staff was great and so was the food. Worth the trip, we will certainly be back.

The food was fine. I just wish there weren't so many flies.
This place is good for lunch. The log house feeling is good.

We went to try it after they changed owners. My prime rib meal was so wonderful that I've returned twice now.

I was excited to try what was touted as one of the restaurant's signature dishes: a medium-rare steak. With high expectations, I placed my order, anticipating a perfectly cooked meal that would leave a lasting impression. However, when my steak arrived, I was disappointed to find it cold. The temperature of a steak is crucial, especially when it’s meant to be served medium rare, which should be warm and juicy, not just tepid.
When I brought this issue to the attention of my waitress, she was apologetic and attentive, which I appreciated. It’s always a good sign when the front-of-house staff is engaged and concerned about the guest’s experience. However, my interaction with the cook, whom I believe is named Renea, left much to be desired. Instead of addressing my concern with professionalism and understanding, Renea asserted that medium-rare steaks are served at a warm temperature. While it’s true that temperatures can vary slightly, the steak I received was not within the acceptable range for medium-rare.
My attempt to explain that I expected my steak to be served hotter was met with an extreme lack of courtesy. Renea’s response felt not only dismissive but also condescending, which was disappointing. Customer service in the food industry thrives on understanding and accommodating diners' preferences; unfortunately, this interaction felt far from that ideal.
It’s disheartening to have such a negative experience overshadow what could have been a delightful outing. The rudeness I encountered from the cook, combined with what was a poorly executed dish, has led me to reconsider my dining choices. While the staff members I interacted with were lovely, the kitchen's lack of responsiveness and the cook's abrasive demeanor have left a sour taste in my mouth—one that I cannot overlook.
In conclusion, while I truly enjoyed the opportunity to meet the staff and connect with the warm environment of the restaurant, my experience with the food and the cook has prompted me to rethink my future visits. Dining out is not just about the food; it’s about the entire experience, and all elements should align to create a positive memory. I hope that the establishment takes this feedback to heart, as every restaurant has the potential to provide an exceptional experience with the right combination of quality food and outstanding service. For now, I will be exploring other dining options that prioritize both.

Slow service.
Absolutely delicious food. Phat portions for a competitive price! I had the brisket sandwich for about $15 and it was a big ol pile of meat up on there with delicious fries and tasty ranch. Julie the waitress is an absolute sweetheart. This place is a hidden gem
