“Great place to eat and drink!!“

“This was my first time eating in at Jack and George's. However, I've had to go multiple times. The quality and portion sizes are phenomenal every time. My favorite thing on the menu is their mac and cheese, but you can only get that on Friday, so make sure to stop in then.

Tonight, they were down a server and had two waitresses serving the entire place while it was packed. They did so with ease and had our food out quickly while checking in to make sure everything was OK. The amount of food was crazy. I got a spicy Hawaiian chicken sandwich, which I didn't know came it chips and an order of fries. Most of it came home with me because it I was so full. I did get a cake to go as they are decadent and worth every calorie.

The only thing I gave a 4 star was the atmosphere. The tables are close together, and it was extremely loud tonight to where I had to almost yell to talk to the people at my table. However, the bathrooms were clean and taken care of, which is always a plus.

There is plenty of parking in any of the 3 lots right beside the restaurant. They do ask that you dont park in front of one of the neighboring houses since they do have lot parking available.

“The Wednesday night pizza & wing special…BOTH are delicious and such a GREAT price! The whole family can go grab a quick bite (and, drink) after class or baseball/basketball games without breaking the bank. It’s spacious and my niece and nephew can entertain themselves with the claw machine, games and the fish, while waiting to eat. But, most importantly, Claudio & Carol are such generous hosts! They sit and talk to you like you’re family and treat you like you’re at an Italian Sunday family dinner! They have definitely gone above & beyond! If you’re looking for weekend entertainment, they got you covered, too! They’re alwayZ bringing something FUNKY and FRESH … something for everyone! Check them out, if youZ haven’t, yet! He’s been in the game a long time and I admire how he keeps reinventing himself! I don’t get out too often, anymore, but, when I do, FUNKY CLAUD’s is on my list!“

“For being the only place in town to see a live band of the heavier variety, the food.is really good. I still.know the place by its.former owner but their food now doesnt compare. Wings and burgers are great and keep an eye on their live schedule. Cant wait to.see Ill nino and pm5k.“

“Overall, a great Altoona bar for mixed drinks, shots and bar food - clean bar top and attentive bartenders. If you don’t smoke this is not the bar for you. There’s a bar, the next door over that’s owned by the same owners that’s a great non-smoking option (Zach’s). Regardless of which, if a PA team is playing they’re showing it on several television angles within the bar. There’s an ATM, cash only cigarette machine, and several lottery machines at your disposal.“

“We came in on 5/2/25. Our waitress Cassie was superb! She knew the menu and was knowledgeable on the craft draft beers. She was very attentive also. I included pictures of our food. The sampler was a build your own. We had wings, southwestern egg rolls, and quesadilla. We also ordered the PGH style cheese steak. Everything was delicious! The sampler could have been a bit warmer in temp. Thats why I didn't give 5 stars. 4.5 more like it. Lol, We will be back.“

“Was there for the first time Thursday! I really like it.. very clean, wonderful service, food very good and it’s just a wonderful place to hang out to wind down from your day! Just try it you will honestly enjoy…I can’t wait to go back!“

“Local "Dive Bar". Decent food. Most bartenders are great. The atmosphere depends on the day. Located near PSU Altoona campus so the students do frequent some nights. Most of the time, it's relatively chill, but there are some nights where there are nights and people getting rowdy. Usually on Karaoke nights from what I've picked up. They have trivia and bingo during the week, which I'd do again. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly room for improvement.“
