“This was my first time eating in at Jack and George's. However, I've had to go multiple times. The quality and portion sizes are phenomenal every time. My favorite thing on the menu is their mac and cheese, but you can only get that on Friday, so make sure to stop in then.
Tonight, they were down a server and had two waitresses serving the entire place while it was packed. They did so with ease and had our food out quickly while checking in to make sure everything was OK. The amount of food was crazy. I got a spicy Hawaiian chicken sandwich, which I didn't know came it chips and an order of fries. Most of it came home with me because it I was so full. I did get a cake to go as they are decadent and worth every calorie.
The only thing I gave a 4 star was the atmosphere. The tables are close together, and it was extremely loud tonight to where I had to almost yell to talk to the people at my table. However, the bathrooms were clean and taken care of, which is always a plus.
There is plenty of parking in any of the 3 lots right beside the restaurant. They do ask that you dont park in front of one of the neighboring houses since they do have lot parking available.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Funky Claud's is a great place and needs more recognition. If you remember City Limits and 30 Something, then you know who Funky Claud's is. Get back there and get some great food and great entertainment. Do you remember? Crossfire-Radio remembers.“

“Local "Dive Bar". Decent food. Most bartenders are great. The atmosphere depends on the day. Located near PSU Altoona campus so the students do frequent some nights. Most of the time, it's relatively chill, but there are some nights where there are nights and people getting rowdy. Usually on Karaoke nights from what I've picked up. They have trivia and bingo during the week, which I'd do again. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly room for improvement.“

“I was just here a few days ago for the Halloween Party with a live band on Friday night. The bartenders were friendly, I ordered hot wings that were tasty and just the right amount of spicy, and I really enjoyed the people and the atmosphere overall. I will definitely go back.“

“Local watering hole. This is a bar in Altoona, Pennsylvania, so you can use your imagination as to what local means. Hint: more than one racial slur was overheard. The food is okay, it’ll do. Smoking permitted which is nice. Friendly bartender. Televisions, jukebox. I was the youngest person present by at least 30 years.“

“Overall, a great Altoona bar for mixed drinks, shots and bar food - clean bar top and attentive bartenders. If you don’t smoke this is not the bar for you. There’s a bar, the next door over that’s owned by the same owners that’s a great non-smoking option (Zach’s). Regardless of which, if a PA team is playing they’re showing it on several television angles within the bar. There’s an ATM, cash only cigarette machine, and several lottery machines at your disposal.“

“Came here to play pool and munch on appetizers. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great! Food was good and we want to go back! If you're looking to play pool, I'd recommend coming early because there's only one table.“

“Easily one of the best local spots for consistently good food, great service, and to just catch a game. If you're not from the area and are looking for a spot for a dinner bite, this is it. Might I suggest the All American classic go to or perhaps the seasonal Fall Gobbler. Finish off with a creme brulee or tart pie desert“
