“We decided to celebrate a special anniversary at Finellis and couldn't have been happier with our evening! We made a reservation and had a cozy table on this cold January evening. We were greeted promptly and while we were looking over the menu, we were given a pre-appetizer of a pasta & sausage salad in a delicious dressing. We did order an appetizer of "Drunken Mushrooms" to start and could believe how good they were and a very large portion too. We weren't rushed to order and when ready, gave our server, Christi, our order. The salads were very generous and fresh and we enjoyed two of the house-made dressings. I had an Italian vinaigrette which we loved so much, we purchased some to take home. We did ask for some bread or rolls and a basket was brought out. Out of the two, the bread was the best! Then came the meals. . .my wife had Eggplant Parmisan over angel hair pasta which she loved! I had a huge grilled pork porterhouse steak, cooked to perfection and accompanied by red roasted parsley potatoes and green beans in Jack Daniels sauce. The only thing we really didn't like was the green beans. . .was hoping for fresh cut ones and we couldn't taste the Jack Daniels sauce. That was so minor and we had so much food by then, it really didn't matter in the context of writing this review. The entree portions were large but yet totally scrumptious and seasoned / cooked to perfection. For dessert, they brought over a tray of about 8 or so desserts to pick from. . .all homemade by Mrs. Finelli herself! Oh my. . . who could resist? We decided to take a piece of Italian Almond Cake with butter cream icing. . .it was more than enough for us to share and especially after a big meal. The dessert was heavenly to say the least and we ate every bite! Last but not least, a big shout out to our server, Christi. . . .she made our dinner so enjoyable. . .friendly and checking in on us to see if we needed anything, refilling drinks and helping us order the perfect meal selections for us! A big thanks to her and Finellis. . .we will definitely be back soon!”

“We ordered the Tropean Onion pizza extra hot. We love spicy food. Like, super, uber spicy. As soon as it touched my tongue my whole body was in shock. I'm confident this is the spiciest thing I've ever tried to eat. Let me say, this should be a challenge type of pizza. Anyone who can finish this pizza deserves an award! Tomorrow morning is going to be painful ??”

“My family has been going to the Allegro for over 25 years and I have only praise for this restaurant. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable and the owner's and staff are as genuine as they come. If you are going to any of the so called "popular chain" restaurants you are throwing your money away and paying the same price. If you know and appreciate real Italian food, then you need to be coming here. Generations of the Taddei family make you feel as though you are part of the family. Delicious food, beautiful people and delicious wine. It doesn't get any better than that.Kid-friendliness: Generations of family, taking care of families! If teaching your children what delicious food is, prepared and served by people who know you, and care about you, then you need to bring them to the Allegro young and keep bringing them back! You will not find a restaurant more about family than the owners' and staff at the Allegro.”

“Parking: The lot is on a hill, but there is plenty unless there is a big event.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator available to go to all floors. The handicap parking spots are both in the lot and in front of the building.”

“My husband and I have been dying to come here for a long time. We live out in clearfield and don’t always venture out to alroona for dinner. I got off work early and my husband surprised me with let’s go here. We were not disappointed the server was lovely, sushi was fantastic and the hibachi servings were huge!!! I have a shrimp allergy and they took it very seriously I got the tofu hibachi with fried rice the vegetables were fresh and the rice! The tofu was nice and crunchy. I took mine home I’m going to add some tofu I have at home for it for dinner. My husband got the steak it was great”

“We had a great visit at the Red Lobster in Altoona. I had the sesame soy salmon bowl. One of the best dishes I've ever had. It's been almost a week and I'm still thinking about it. ? My husband enjoyed his fries flounder as well. Dessert was very good too. Our waitress was very sweet. Our anniversary meal was excellent. ❤️”

“Low-key neighborhood spot with reasonably priced drinks, friendly people, and accessible atmosphere. While there is no set menu for the bar, the bartender was really nice and worked with me as I explained the flavor profiles that I typically enjoy. Over the course of the evening, she came up with three different drinks that I really enjoyed. Post-COVID, I don't think they regularly accept credit cards, but there is an ATM on site. Smoking is allowed indoors, and a number of patrons seem to do so regularly; however, there is a cute courtyard out front with plenty of fresh air. The music selection is fun and varied although there wasn't a lot of dancing the night I was there. Overall, a fun spot with nice people.”

“Okay I like this place but the bartender on Wednesday and Thursday (Eric) is way out of line and treats everyone like they are in daycare and also gets in to everyone's business.and no I wasn't drunk or even asked to leave.But watching him interact with other patrons was terrible it was to the point when he would walk away I would look around and all you would see was people rolling eyes,shaking there head,arms up like WTF. Gave it four stars because he's my only problem.NONE of the other bartenders act like this,Met them all and found them all friendly.so I won't be stopping in on Wednesday and Thursday From 1or 2 pm till 7 pm.
