“The food was excellent. My roommates had the wings. they were done to perfection and just the right amount of sauce. The chicken strips were breaded with a unique breading. And the deep fried mushrooms were incredible. You know how sometimes you get all breading or you bite into one and it burns your mouth with grease or its cold? well not here. not too much breading, no hot grease, and done to perfection! I highly recommend Funky's!!!! :)“

“Overall, a great Altoona bar for mixed drinks, shots and bar food - clean bar top and attentive bartenders. If you don’t smoke this is not the bar for you. There’s a bar, the next door over that’s owned by the same owners that’s a great non-smoking option (Zach’s). Regardless of which, if a PA team is playing they’re showing it on several television angles within the bar. There’s an ATM, cash only cigarette machine, and several lottery machines at your disposal.“

“Love the new happy hour times! Great food great service. My favorite is their Cinco De Mayo. The prices have gone up since their newest restaurant but the portion sizes are worth it. I do think they could give you 4 tortillas with a dinner since they are small instead of 3.“

“The food is always amazing. Potions are huge and they are always really great about accommodating special requests. My kids love ordering from here and will request it at every opportunity. I personally suggest getting the calzones. They are hands down the best in the area!“

“Local "Dive Bar". Decent food. Most bartenders are great. The atmosphere depends on the day. Located near PSU Altoona campus so the students do frequent some nights. Most of the time, it's relatively chill, but there are some nights where there are nights and people getting rowdy. Usually on Karaoke nights from what I've picked up. They have trivia and bingo during the week, which I'd do again. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly room for improvement.“
