“There's always a fun & friendly crowd here! It's nice to go into a place & actually have full conversations with people that I don't even know. The bartenders are knowledgeable & welcoming. I like the party themes; Halloween, Ugly Christmas Sweater, Mardi Gras...it's so fun dressing up! They always find a reason to bring the community together!!! “My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stop for food after watching a movie, and we loved the food! We had the ability to make reservations online or order ahead but didn't really have a need to. The food came out quick and had great flavor. The cocktails were perfect not too strong not too weak. The prices were very reasonable as well! Our waitress was very nice and it wasn't super busy so it was a nice chill atmosphere I would definitely go again and highly recommend!“

“This is an interesting bar in downtown State College because it's right in the midst of everything (it is right next to the Gaff), but it has a very different vibe to it. It is attached to a nice restaurant so it is a more upscale casual than the super casual nature of the bars around it.It is interesting to go there because they have traditional furniture and makes you feel like you're in a place of some history. They make good cocktails, and this is a nice place to go if you're looking to enjoy the nightlife downtown without rowdiness or blasting music. It is a good place for conversation and the candlelit tables feel very intimate. It is not a huge place which will also get swamped on big weekends like Arts Fest and Blue and White.“

“We visited the Tavern and loved everything about it, the outdoor sitting, the food and the service were excellent. The only reason why this is a 4 star for me is that we ordered Hugo Sprits drinks and they lacked the main ingredient, the Elderflower (St Germaine) liqueur which is what makes a Hugo. I also got the Frozen Kentucky Coffee drink based on recommendations from my friend, that was great also. The atmosphere was the favorite part because it’s a country themed bar from the music to the decor. Came to State College for Ella Langley, stayed for Pickles.“

“Doggie's has the best pizza in State College but even better than the pizza is the service!
Everyone I've come in contact with has always been happy and helpful. I went in to pick up 20, yes 20 Pizzas that the owners graciously donated to the PSU Men's Rugby team and it was the Banana Crawl weekend. As on can assume SC and Doggie's were packed! But our pizzas were hot and perfect!
Doggie's pizza is the #1 for me in State College!“

“Is a Rock Bar so cool. The bartenders are so friendly. Every Saturday you can sing at the rock karaoke. Is the perfect place we want to go always after party. Bar hours are so good closing at 2 am which is so good in Bellefonte. Very nice people to make new friends. There is a Pool table to play whenever you want. Nice clean and big Restrooms. You can choose the rock song you want to listen at the jukebox. It reminds me all the places I used to go before. They sell chips and hot dogs and all the drinks you prefer. You can buy a t-shirt with the name of the bar so comfy. See you there. Rock on !!!“

“I’ve never had such a personalized experience at a bar since I met Paulie from sharkies. Although it wasn’t necessary, Paulie came over to our table when he was bartending to see if we needed anything and ask how are night was. My friends and I love that fedora wearing man!!“
