“This place is hard to beat with it's second to none quality meals and appetizers. Cattered business events try Olde New York. Some where last minute with the family stop off at Old New York and finally 6pm just getting off work gotta catch your teams kick off in 20 mins. with its amazing wing options and wide variety of beverages to enjoy Old New York is the place to be. Where even if your team loses your experience there still makes it a win. Hope to see you there next time ?✌️?“
“Amazing atmosphere & food! The food is exquisitely prepared & served. The waiters & waitresses are attentive & friendly. There's also a nice drink menu whether it a soda, wine, draft beer or mixed drink. You won't be disappointed!“
“The bartender Chris was outstanding: personable, offered suggestions since it was our first visit, and checked in frequently. Good looking bar with an old school look. We had cheesesteak, grilled cheese and tomato soup(excellent on a chilly rainy day). It was good, not amazing, no slight. Definitely would go back for an afternoon.“
“Did not expect this sort of cuisine in central PA tbh. The pork belly is amazing, the barramundi is crisp and flakey (also a rare fish to find in restaurants), everything was super tasty. Waitresses are great, and the vibe is nice. Did not get rushed at all and truly enjoyed spending time there. Would go back 10/10“
“What a great basement bar. Absolutely love the old school vibe. Excellent variety of draft and bottle beers as well as some great mixology. Food is available from the Corner Room upstairs and will be delivered to your table. After restaurant closes they allow outside food to be brought in. Friday night had two live bands that were excellent. Can’t wait to return.“
“We came here to order cocktails and decided to also order the boneless chicken wings that were on special for half off. Our drinks were well made and the wings were a nice portion for the price. Also they run daily specials each of the days they are open. Overall this place was a good experience with our server being attentive and generous bar seating. We would recommend coming here but do check their hours as they are closed a few nights per week.“
“This review based on my last use of this place in 1973 during my last year at PSU. I was living at Beaver Terrace just a couple of blocks away down E Beaver Ave, close enough to stagger/stumble/crawl home after capping off a night of barhopping in State College with egg rolls at The Brewery. They remain the best egg rolls in memory...although admittedly, I was probably nearly blacked out when eating them. I do remember copious amounts of whatever they were deep-fried in. Sold out of a little window in the middle of the bar, probably unsanitary as hell but wtfc at that age and in that state. Egg rolls and a few mugs of draft beer at 1am...who could want for anything more? Bottom line, under the foregoing circumstances, The Brewery was perfect!“
“I always enjoy this place. Guacamole is great, but the spicy could be spicier. Margaritas are crazy if you like them. This is the Enchiladas Nayarit, made with fish and spinach. There was a slight citrus flavor and the blend was good. The corn is the Street Elote, one of three cobs served.“
