“A year ago I traveled to Michigan on business and tried authentic Detroit-style pizza and fell in love with it. Needless to say, when 8 Mile Pizza opened, I wanted to try it, but didn’t find myself close enough until tonight. It is legitimate Detroit-style pizza and it’s fantastic. It is well worth it and you won’t regret trying it. My only complaint is that the restaurant is definitely more of a pick-up or delivery set-up and for someone who lives out-of-town, the lack of seating can mean eating inside or taking the pizza to a local park. However, even with this one complaint, the pizza is well worth-it.“

“Derrick and the staff at Allen Street Pizza ? were amazing! The pizza was delicious, and I got a slice of pepperoni ($2.75) and cheese pizza ($2.25) for ONLY $5! These were big slices too, the size of the paper plate! I decided to take pictures ? ? ? ? so I could share with out-of-towners. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I'll be back.“

“This is MY favorite pizza in state college. It's so good. Any time I've gotten it I have never been disappointed - The sauce has flavor! Great pepperonis too!

Easy easy parking - and it's free.

They're also open super late.

My only complaint is EVERY time I want them it's on the day they're scheduled to be closed! I have to wait a whole day for the pizza then!

Reasonably priced as well.

“I would still recommend them. However, my sister and I ordered pizzas today. I LOVE truffle oil. I ordered a Kennett Square pizza and they forgot my truffle oil…..made my pizza less than appealing. It did not taste good without the truffle oil!!!! Hopefully if I return they will remember the BEST part of my pizza……truffle oil!!!!!“

“A friend introduced me to The Cove about a month ago and I am a fan! I've gotten delivery from them twice and have had such pleasant experiences. Then, I was having a birthday party for my son and the people at The Cove were nice enough to make the pizzas for us even though they weren't open by the time the party started. I can't say enough good things about this place. Love the food, but love the people who work there even more! Highly recommend!!“

“I love coming here with my mom or my dad and splitting a pizza or Stromboli and a salad. Their misto salad is amazing and their pizza is also some of the best in state college. If it’s your first time I suggest there Stromboli, if you don’t you will get Stromboli envy from the people around you. So do yourself a favor and give in to the Stromboli sirens call. ?‍♀️?“

“Best college drinking experience I’ve had on state college. It’s not always that crowded, the live music is a hit, I am a personal fan of the iced coffee drink. The pizza is decent, def the best in the area, and it’s nice to sit outside when weather permits, if you don’t want to be inside the bar“

“My favorite food here is 'Sausage and spaghetti, with two spoons of red source, and pepper and onion'. The inflation is so bad in the past few years but the price is still very cheap. As a fast food chain, you cannot expect anything more than that.“

“The food has always been good. What I really appreciated in my last visit was that they made a mistake on a sub order (added mayo) but took care of it right away when I came back. Mistakes can happen, but good customer service makes up for it.“

“What nice owners husband and wife. Upon entering, it was immediately pleasant and informative. An excellent choice of various pizzas and pastas. The pizzas are made and baked right in front of you. The pasta ordered was very tasty and fresh, as was the salad. This is another pizzeria with heart and soul. Definitely recommended!“

“I have always enjoyed Brothers Pizza but unfortunately some of them have gone to cheap. The one that I am reviewing is still doing good. The wife and I just ate there she got a Chicken salad I had a hot Italian sub and other than the the sub could of been a bit hotter I had no complaints. 2 sodas a salad and a 11 sub came to $36 and though i feel like it should be a bit cheaper they don't rip you off. The Brothers down in Milesburg is, i ordered the same hot Italian from that location and I felt like I was eating a lettuce sandwich there was barley any lunch meat needless to say we don't order from that location anymore which sucks because it's basically across the street from our house. So yes I wish it was cheaper but at least you are getting something for your money. I will continue to visit the location on Benner Pike as long as it keeps being quality and quantity. They still give you the homemade bread which is one thing that makes or breaks a place like this which for a hoagie is very important but even for making the salad more enjoyable.“

“I haven't been here in years, but we always swore that this Papa John's tasted better than any other we had been to. There's something about it that's different. We went here for years when visiting my grandma - it was our favorite place. There's a window on the side of the building that allows you to go outside and look in and watch them make the whole pizza every step of the way, which is pretty much the coolest thing ever as a kid, and honestly, even as an adult lol.
One time, when my brother was very young, he was playing with a toy truck at the window sill outside the restaurant as we were watching the pizza making process.
The manager/owner/maybe just an employee waved to us and smiled at us and engaged with us through the window. When we got home and ate our delicious pizza we realized my brother had left his truck on the window sill. The next day we went back to check if it was still there and the same pizza guy had it sitting on the counter waiting for us. The fact that he noticed it, went outside and retrieved it, and remembered us and had it waiting for us, was all so sweet, and above and beyond, and shows you what kind of a place this joint is.“

“Our pizza came out with a broken edge, the very kind cashier told us that they were going to prepare another one for us, we said no for several reasons:

1- The first one told us that before we left.
2- we know that what happened was due to human error.

So everything was perfect for us.“

“Our group tried to make reservations for March 16, 2024. This business was called and a female answered and stated the Manager would call back, he never did. She called back and the male manager answered and stated that he called her back two days prior. She only called the day before. Then he said he called he back the day she called and she told him that he did not. So a lieing manager. We we had 15 people interested in coming to your establishment, I would think it would have been a couple hundred dollars, but you refused us. YOUR LOSS. Hopefully anyone from our group will never patronize your business. It would have been my first time since we are driving to meet the others that are from Duncansville/Altoona area. I would give you a ZERO review. The business down the street was more than happy to accommodate us with open arms. YOUR LOSS!“

“Champs is a great spot to go to if you are looking to watch live sports. They have plenty of TV's. It does get extremely busy when there are big games in town. We were in State College for the PSU vs Ohio football game.

The line to get your name on the waiting list can be overwhelming and a bit chaotic. If you work your way up to the host (a bit crudgemoney), your name will be added to the list. But if you aren't there and they call your name, they move on to the next person right away. There is not a text when your table is ready or the vibrating discs etc.

Getting drinks at the bar was a challenge given the amount of people vs staff. At our table, the waitress was great. Drinks and food came out on a reasonable amount of time.

The food itself was good, not great (for our party). They do have a pretty extensive menu, so there are lots of options. The pizza (thicker crust, thin in the middle), looked tasty and will try next time.“
