“This is a great place for some VERY, and emphasis on very, good pizza. Also, a major benefit of this restaurant is that they have HALAL food here. “Stayed at the Penn Stater hotel in the area. We ordered 3 pizzas for delivery on the dominos website. Only because they were running the 1/2 off special. Sorry dominos, regular priced is too much for me. It arrived in 25 minutes which to me is impressive. I dont think I could've ordered online, drove there to pick it up, and be back by the time he got to us. I cant remember the drivers name but he was very friendly. Pizza was excellent and hit the spot. Great job guys! Keep it up!“

“Honestly my favorite place to get dinner from in State College. Expect some occasional issues with wait and other minor service problems, but the food is pretty much always worth it.
They seem to be slowly ironing out all the issues as time goes on, and management seems to respond well to feedback.“

“Ernie’s is an absolute treat you must try at least once living in the state college area. The ribeye they use is top-quality and their bread is great. Make sure you get their cheese whiz as it’s on point and very good compared to shitty Penn steaks. I am a student here at psu originally from the Philly area and after trying so many Philadelphia cheesesteaks I can certainly say Ernies is most definitely the top of the line classic philly cheesesteak you can get here. Not only that but they are cheap, go with a friend and buy two cheesesteaks there for only $19, that’s considerably cheaper than any cheesesteak you can get in the Philadelphia area considering they’re about $14-$16 apiece.“

“I haven't been here in years, but we always swore that this Papa John's tasted better than any other we had been to. There's something about it that's different. We went here for years when visiting my grandma - it was our favorite place. There's a window on the side of the building that allows you to go outside and look in and watch them make the whole pizza every step of the way, which is pretty much the coolest thing ever as a kid, and honestly, even as an adult lol.
One time, when my brother was very young, he was playing with a toy truck at the window sill outside the restaurant as we were watching the pizza making process.
The manager/owner/maybe just an employee waved to us and smiled at us and engaged with us through the window. When we got home and ate our delicious pizza we realized my brother had left his truck on the window sill. The next day we went back to check if it was still there and the same pizza guy had it sitting on the counter waiting for us. The fact that he noticed it, went outside and retrieved it, and remembered us and had it waiting for us, was all so sweet, and above and beyond, and shows you what kind of a place this joint is.“
